Description The Repentor Marines are the remnants of the Exalters Legion, the Loyal Angels and various other uncorrupted Space Marines that have been declared traitors over the millenia since the heresy, alongside any replacements drawn from the populace of the Repentant Imperium.

Itkaz had been far from the massacres that had taken place in the Istvaan system when Roboute Gallan exposed his heresy. He had not even been informed of it, as his location had been beset by horrific warp storms that had rendered communication impossible.
One night, as he slept, he was informed of it through an entirely different manner.
He dreamt that a misshapen thing dressed in a drab brown cloak spoke to him of the heresy, showing him images of the horrors of Chaos, telling him of how his brothers had turned towards dark powers. He told him that he must fly with all speed to Terra, and there destroy the Battle Barge Macragge's Honour to cut off the source of heresy at the head.
So terrified by the words of the figure, was Itkaz, that he applied none of his usual forethought and rushed straight to Holy Terra, even leaving behind some of his Marines in his panic. Surprisingly, the warp storms becalmed themselves, and the currents of the Immaterium aided the Exalter fleet on their way.
It was a joyous sight to the citizens of the Imperium when the Battle Barges Bringer of Wonder and Indomitable and their attendant fleet tore through the warring ships above.
It was less of a joyous sight when they trained their mighty guns upon the crippled Macragge's Honour.
For the Emperor was aboard that ship, assaulting the Arch-Traitor, as were Horus, Mortarion and Kayon Maturax.
The guns of the Battle Barges tore through the flagging spacecraft, already crippled by the actions of the fell Primarch. If it had not been for the actions of Lord Kroak, who had managed to bring a fleet to Terra in spite of the actions of the Primordial Annihilator, the Emperor and his sons would have fallen to the mighty weapons of the starships. But even these actions had been too late. The Emperor had pushed himself to his limits fighting against Gallan, Kayon and the Chaos gods, and the sudden bombardment damaged and broke him.
A member of the astropathic house managed to send a message to Itkaz, telling him what he had done.
In shame and incredible sadness, Itkaz took his fleet and fled, promising that one day he would prove himself worthy of repentance.
