accutally it is, cause once you get into homestuck its hard not to draw fanart all the time. some times i get jealous how you can draw your characters so freely -v-

I actually draw my characters more often for three good reasons.
1. I'm the kind of person who can't draw another character without a reference, and seeing as though I draw at school most (home isn't a very motivating place for me...), references aren't easily accessible.
2. As I'm still very much learning anatomy and such, I feel like I'd be insulting other people by drawing their characters a lot at my current level.
3. I'm kind of obsessed with getting my characters all fleshed out before I start on the manga (even though I have years and years to figure that stuff out...).

Yeah~ Not to mention the fact that:
A. My sketch book ran out a long while ago, so I've been reduced to taking the backs of school assignments/handouts as my canvases.
B. I vastly prefer using digital media to draw; something I have little access to at the moment.
C. As I said, I lose a lot of motivation at home. I need a designated spot to do things, like Meredith's "CoffeeCave"~<3
