Thorn smiled as he watched his King play with the children. He took a sip of his drink, hiding his expression as the older bee looked over. King Vaas smiled and urged the children to go play somewhere else. Thorn looked back over as the children obediently ran off. King Vaas met his eyes and walked over around the chair. He sat between Thorn's splayed legs and leaned in to kiss him. Thorn met the kiss with an equal passion. He held out his glass and a servant took it from his hand. He put his arms up around the King's neck and held him closely. Vaas put his arms around Thorn's waist and drew back to look at him. Both smiled at each other.

"I love you, my consort," Vaas said softly. Thorn's smile widened.

"I love you as well, my king."
