Description This was one of those paintings I started without having much of an idea what I was going to do. I just knew I wanted to paint a figure of some kind. It's the sum of (mostly) happy accidents. Her rosy cheeks were one of those, and I started calling her Rosie after that, which is good because I really dislike coming up with titles.

Awww, it looks just wondeful! So captivating! These redish parts create an amazing atmosphere! It's all a bit mysterious but so warm!

Thank you! It looked quite bleak and boring before I added the orange and red, so I'm happy to hear you too think it was the right call. I also love that you think she's mysterious, because I did end up trying to create an atmosphere of mystery, possibly even mysticality, but it's all up for interpretation.

Thank you, Caz. I thought it was going to end up very dark at first, but it didn't work out that way, and I'm glad it didn't this time.
