Description
"Hello and welcome to Lilac Cove, also known as Lilacverse! A next generation universe set 100 years post canon. The story follows an enthusiastic pegasus and camp counselor, Buckthorn, as he runs a popular spring and summer camp / educational center. It's his job to handle rowdy campers, arrogant co-workers, the unpredictable jungle and ocean that surrounds them, and the shady owner of the camp that has a none-to-innocent background. Nothing seems to break his spirit though as he goes through his days with a big smile and a skip in his step."

The only young western kirin at Lilac Cove is Nerissa, a spunky spitfire with a take-charge attitude. She's very proud of her heritage and never passes up an opportunity to talk about it. She became very attached to counselor Juniper Berry , the only other western kirin at camp, very early on. Nerissa follows her around when she's not preoccupied with magic training or trying out said magic on other campers. Juniper has had to reverse spells casted by the young kirin along with protect other campers and even counselors from her magical outbursts. Western kirins are much more magically imbalanced than eastern kirins, they're prone to serious magical bursts almost equivalent to baby alicorns. Except these bursts can last well into adolescence. This was the main reason Nerissa was sent to Lilac Cove, with an expert on foal and other creatures' early development and another in psychology Nerissa's parents were well assured their daughter would be well taken care of. She undergoes daily magical lessons and training, courtesy of Eris and Juniper.

Golden Illusion or known more affectionately as "Goldie" is Lilac Cove's camp trickster. He specializes in illusion magic, also known as showtime magic. He lives for the spotlight and confusing or amazing others with his routines. He idolizes the famous performer, Trixie Lulamoon and has several posters of her and other trinkets related to her stage performances. Goldie's parents are Las Pegasus acrobatic performers and sent Goldie to Lilac Cove to further his skills (it was also partly so they could go on vacation to other resorts around Equestria).

Goldie gets along well with most the other campers for the most part but he does get into the fairly common spat with Nerissa over whose magic is superior. Supernova and him don't get along all that well either, as the two have very different views on how magic should be used.

Empyreal Rays, or known namely as "Pyre" is the oldest camper at Lilac Cove. She's also every camper's designated older sister; she loves mentoring those younger than her and seeing them succeed. Pyre's passion is extreme show flying, flight tricks, and speed flying. She looks up to the Wonderbolts immensely and obviously Rainbow Dash is her favorite. When other counselors are unavailable it's usually Pyre put in charge and she fits that role perfectly, in fact when new campers arrive they think she is a counselor or one in training.

When she's not catering to others she's practicing her flying and though she usually does it alone, Buckthorn will occasionally help her. He's not the best flyer mind you, but he can certainly help with getting air bursts for better performance or making sure particular techniques are done right.

Pyre had been attending Lilac Cove for several years, from the time she was eight all the way til she was sixteen.

Crunch is the camp bully, every camp has one and Lilac Cove's is by far the worst. Crunch is huge compared to the other campers and isn't at all afraid to use it to his advantage. He's the type of bully that isn't deterred by being stood up too or even talked down or up too. Words have little effect on him and he can easily turn words around on his victims. He's really a force to be reckoned with. The one thing that can actually get to him is genuine affection/love. It's best done by girls as he feels safe around them (this depends case by case obviously). Crunch also has a soft spot for infants/very young creatures, he can become very paternal and will stop at almost nothing to protect said infant.
