Cave exploration was never really my thing, I can’t believe I even agreed to it. For my cousin’s 27th birthday, we decided to go camping and in the midst of our hike, stupidly thought we should head into an unnatural sized hole in a weird rock formation built into the ground, that almost resembled that of a nest—and that it was. Cobwebs for miles, bones of what looked like foxes, dogs, maybe even an owl or two. It was terrifying just seeing that alone, but upon catching glimpse of something at the other end, we jumped, aiming to leave. Before doing so, I couldn’t help but notice eyes staring directly back at us, though it became clear there weren’t just two, but eight of them, all belonging to a single silhouette. A vague blur that just barely resembled a man, but I can say with certainty that was in fact no man.
