SAD FACE DIANA.

So...no real clue as to what is going on here. Which fits in nicely with the rest of the series since they've been doing pretty much what they want up until now anyway.

I think the story involves time travel (shudder) and Bruce gets cursed, punted back through a portal to Ancient Themyscria. Being the smart type, the newly beastified Bats keeps his head, ears and any other appendages he's become attached to, down and hides out on the island trying to figure out how to turn himself back.

The Amazons, being the sharp little tacks that they are, notice something is amiss on Paradise Isle.

Shenanigans happen.

Boy meets girl, boy is a bat monster, girl can benchpress whales if she wants to, they dance, they kiss, they shmooze and figure out a way to turn Batbeast back.

Something to do with the clay of the beach where Diana herself was sculpted. There's another pic out there of them both covered in mud and smooching at any rate.

SO...Diana somehow ends up with nothing left of Bruce except the cracked remains of his beastly mask. She doesn't even know what he really looks like, she just knows she has to wait a thousand years and then one day more to see him again.

As for leaves turning and falling in a seasonless paradise...the island is reacting to Diana's feelings. She's sad, so its sad too.

Also, deciding to draw backgrounds and attempt a night scene...not my cleverest move.
