EDIT: Third Place for Character Vacation Contest!

On his second (?) vacation to Paris, our favorite white lion prince decides to take his best friend, a fellow lion of royalty, out to lunch. He surprises most of the Parisans there with his ability to speak perfect "Human," a combination of Japanese, English, French, and most other languages of the world as well (he's quite an intelligent lion). I'm sure they can't wait to meet his other animal friends, who likewise can speak Human, but can be of far more destructive size and nature.

You might think it's strange for a couple of lion cubs to show up in Paris and order from a café, but in the world of Jungle Emperor, that's about as believable as things get. To enjoy it, you have to completely suspend your disbelief. And yes, Leo/Kimba can talk.

Things to know about this drawing: Firstly, it took near 3 hours to finish the ink work. Since I had only Pale Gray, a set of Black, and a faded Deep Grey pen, I didn't have much variation for shading. Now that I have some more pens, however, this might see a revision soon.

Secondly, this is supposed to mimic the original manga/animé style of the 50's and 60's. The most Tezuka-looking things here though are probably the Elvis-Atomo and Leo/Kimba himself. There's also an Easter Egg regarding text here. I nearly called it the Café Phoenix, but I thought Mushi was an okay choice.

Thirdly, the girl's outfit was inspired by a photograph of a 1960's model from Paris. Like I said too, the kid looks like an Elvis-Astro Boy.
