Description
This is the story of how President ShinRa really died:Day 1:
Doctor: '... Mr. President, the blood tests show that you have high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and some early signs of diabetes. Your anti-platelet therapy doesn't seem to have worked very well. I highly suggest you to exercise, reduce stress at work, and take better care of yourself.'
President ShinRa: 'Hmmm....'
Night of Day 1:
Memo to selected personelle: 'Dress code in full effect. Effective tomorrow morning.'
Scarlet
Day 2:
Scarlet goes around the office dressed in a dress with a lower Vee-neck and a shorter hem. She parades around the president as much as she could the whole day.
Night of Day 2:
President ShinRa at his table: '....Grrr.... didn't I tell her already?! What's she trying to do, kill me...?!'
Suddenly, the president grabbed his arm: '... Aaah! My arm hurts!'
He slumps over the table.
Sephiroth walks in and sees the President slumped over the table.
Sephiroth: 'Sleeping on the job, huh? Oh... this is too easy....' *grins*
*stabs president, leaves*

I have to say... few people are very well acquainted with this character (antagonist who appear only infrequently in the game, after all.) In a way... outside of how she looks, she's a blank slate ready for interpretations. And I am very glad to know that you liked this specific interpretation. It's my honour and my pleasure.

I call it a "medically-relevent, historically-irreverent" version of Final Fantasy VII. It also acted as a precursor to my "Wheelchair Theatre" where things are taken from a handicapped person's point of view.
... I have to say, strange as it might sound, it's my nerdiness showing.
Scarlet... is more of my brother's interest than mine. Although, I will say this - she must have been a sight for sore eyes in the office. (That, and a scary "step-mother" figure for Rufus when he first took on the job as President...)

Speaking from one cosplayer to another...
Wheelchair theatre started when yours truly and gang dressed up as President ShinRa with Rude and Reno in tow. We've done this cosplay for 2 years at the local convention before we all moved to different cities.

Scarlet must have been a very efficient and very ruthless woman to end up being the only femle representation on the executive board. That being said, she must have seem quite intimidating to the new president when he first took over the seat. This may also explain why the rest of the executive board died off throughout the game while the president survived. I think he might have something to do with bumping them off.

Being a longtime FF7 fan, its always great to see those that seem to look between the lines and really dig into the FF7 characters. Scarlet has never been the most popular character in the FF7 community, but more fan works about her are always needed and welcomed imo: I know I'm a fan!
Though she's incredibly conniving and merciless about her job, she always came off as being quite capable of utilizing seductive qualities to get her way (though we have no conclusive evidence). Way to emphasize her slyness! The way you framed the classified files in front of the Shinra logo really helps her selfish vibe too. Who knows what kind of projects she kept from prying eyes! I'll be on the lookout if you ever choose to do any Scarlet works in the future: keep up the great work.

My brother and I have been long time fans as well (we've even gone as far as cosplaying Advent Children Rude and Rufus - with a friend as Reno - in our local anime convention for the last 2 years). We are of a mind that the ShinRa is a yet un-tapped source of great stories (and Before Crisis doesn't do it justice.) You can almost say... we'd be willing ShinRa recuits, should the occasions arise.
My Scarlet pictures (there's another one) are done on my brother's behest. He's a bigger fan of her than I am, and usually commissions one from me for special occasions. In my humble opinion, I think she's really is a sight for sore eyes in the office, but this lady is a lot more than just eye candy. You are absolutely right on the fact she's conniving, sly and seductive in the most dangerous way. I believe that some time in the future, my brother and I will come up with even more juicy Scarlet tales. However, until then... thank you for your kind words and your support. It means the world to us.
