Haha yeah
Oh ok, so it was kind of like a type of retail but still a sales job. Ok.
Ah ok, thats the kind of sales game I'm familiar with. Where your on the phone selling people a service, having to play games with them just to get them to make the right choice. Some how I can imagine you were not fond of that receptionist job lol.
My brother sold people mortgage refinancing, and cash advances. Loads of money, loads of stress, loads of alcohol hahaha.
Lol. Maybe! I can appreciate most kinds of liquor though. I am not huge on vodka though and I hate both gin and tequila lol. Love whiskey and rum though.
What rums have you tried? I know what you mean but i tend to avoid that. The "Desperation Rum" as I call it, that I buy is real bad, not sweet at all. I get the light rum. Mixed you get that rum flavor though, just lacking the sweetness (or additional sweetness depending on mixer) and all the horrible taste is covered up
Yay I is a smarts! I double checked to make sure I wasn't reading the values wrong or something haha.I was like "What is this, CJ being wrong? That can't be :/ " haha.
No clue a of yet.. all I know is I want some! I got lucky no werewolves attacked me! Lol, very true! Actually I jut learned of there being an old legend of a dog man of norther Michigan.. its a real thing sadly enough haha. So now we need silver bullets more than anything!
yeah I mean that makes sense, the animations style really stands out. The game play does not look very interesting but when you play it, you realize its a bit different than anything else, or at least just pretty unique. You like super hard games?
Oh god
OH I got a new friend hehehehehe. sta.sh/020yv7eyhsdm

Oh, man... your brother really got the short-end of the stick. Out of all the things I had to sell, I would -not- want to sell mortgages and cash advances. Now, some folks might argue people go to these services and these services don't need selling. But then again, after finding out that I need to sell a "how to pass your IELTS" course, yeah... sure. I guess you need to sell everything these days. As far as my receptionist job goes... no, I didn't like that. But selling stuff isn't the reason. It's because of the reverse racism I've got while on the job. You see, for some unknown reason, I speak with a faint (mighty faint) BBC-English accent. Heaven knows why, since I've never been to the bloody place. But when people called the place and listen to this voice, they weren't expecting a Chinese dude behind the desk. Boy, if looks can kill and disappointment can drown... I'd be dead a couple dozen-times over.
Vodka isn't my cup of tea, either. But then again, it's something folks around me seem to like, for some reason. I can't say why. Whiskey and cognac, on the other hand... yup. You can pile them in front of me and I won't complain. Bourbon... I don't know yet. That's one taste I haven't quite acquired yet.
My brother used to live in Grenada (and flying back to Canada usually means going through Trinidad and Tobago), so Caribbean rums like Applegate Estates were usually the ones I end up trying. Newfoundland, however, has it's own over-aged Demerara rum called "Screech". Let's just say... this thing is steeped in history and tastes like its name. Both all kinds of awful.
Now, now... C.J. can be wrong! Heck, even Wikipedia can be wrong, so how's a single person going to compete? I've recently learned that a "silver bullet" is apparently the Lone Ranger's signature weapon. So I suppose there's some kind of rugged romance attached to silver bullets. But then again, there's something about using a "silver bullet" to solve all your troubles. So there's something to be said about that specific kind of bullets. Why? Heaven knows.
Let's just say... I don't actually have the time to play games all that much anymore. So... gameplay really doesn't enter my head anyway!
Now, that's a nice new friend! I hope we'll get better acquainted in the future!

Oh god this comment is getting "wall of text" level long
Well he made a shit ton of money at least.. however he seemed to blow it all >.< It was real stressful though so yeah, not the best. Lol, did you get commission at least? Not sure what your implying when you say "But then again, after finding out that I need to sell a "how to pass your IELTS" course, yeah... sure. I guess you need to sell everything these days" sorry man
Ah ok. Damn wtf. Where was this school at again? Pisses me off just hearing you had to deal with crap like that
Did not know you spoke with a slighttttttttttt British accent though lol. You may have to note me a short recording next note if thats cool I can do the same if your interested I speak with a Michigan accent if you know what that is like lol.
Good lol. Hmm that is odd. Well I guess I am an exception to that rule Haha oh god I forget about cognac! I like it too but it can get a bit sweet. I could drink whiskey all day long though.. well not really but you get what I mean That would make me sick no matter how much I like it Really? Bourbon is a type of whiskey. I find it smoother than say scotch, or even Canadian whiskey, though Canadian whisky is still amazing!
Ah ok damn. Your family gets around eh? Ah ok. Never had any of that lol. Sounds both interesting and terrifying at the same time. Lol. I think you have mentioned Screech though thinking about it. Just that name don't lend it to being good haha. I will have to try it some day to see how bad it is
Hey speaking of which have you had malort?
Lol, true, but considering all your smarts and book learning, I'm right stricken amazed I am! Uhhh by checking not Wikipedia?
Well that would be his signature ammunition, not weapon Maybe his calling card? When did you learn that, you just look it up? Yeah that is kinda odd lol.
Oh I know, very understandable. Its also understandable since unless you look into it, the gameplay seems boring.
You never said though, you like those kinds of super hard games?
I am so excited! I tried to shoot some pictures today outside but it was too late in the day and the sun was going down. That coupled with the clouds and getting used to this new fangled thing, I do not think I got any good pictures. Who cares though it was fun
You will for sure! I plan to shoot a new still life very soon with it

Haven't I said that I am the "Wall of Text" guy? Now you see why!
Commission? Nah. I just get my pay as a receptionist, that's all. Answering phones, apparently, is a part of the job. The way I saw it, you study and you pass the test - that's the end of it. But I guess some folks out there are selling the "secret to passing the test". And it looks like multiple people are selling this golden ticket so people like me have to sell our brand to someone else. That's some disheartening stuff, for me, at least. So... yeah, I guess you -do- have to sell everything these days.
... recording text? I wouldn't know how to do that even if I wanted. How in the world does someone do that?
I'm not a big fan of Canadian Whiskey, for some reason. I guess the blends tend to be on the newer side and it doesn't sit well with my guts. But the older, aged taste of Scotch and Cognac tend to sit better with me. I guess it's all about personal taste, right? As far as Bourbon goes... yeah, technically it's a kind of whiskey. I just can't quite seem to find a good one her for some reason. I wouldn't mind trying a couple to see how much I like it.
School is usually the reason why the family travels. I did training in Newfoundland and my brother did medical school in Grenada. And both places happen to have distinctive rum... go figure. Screech is a rum that has been over-aged in whiskey barrels, so it tastes like the bastard child between a rum and a whiskey. The story goes that land-lubbers took swigs of this brew and start screechin', hence the name. But the truth of the matter is Newfoundland was once a trade route and a way-point between England and the West Indies colonies. A freakish storm once kept a shipment of rum stuck in Newfoundland for over a month. And by the time the rum finally made it to England... it turned Screech. I don't know how true either one of these stories are. But after tasting this stuff, I'd say both hold a grain of truth. And Malort? No, I'm afraid not. What is it?
... Usually, Wikipedia isn't where I start or stop searching. But since it tends to turn up early on in a list of searches, it's hard to avoid. It gets interesting when you realise Wiki is wrong, though...
Yeah, yeah... Lone Ranger's signature ammunition! Incidentally, I found out about that after reading a book about foreign bodies in people's... er... bodies. One guy pushed a bullet up his bum and lost it in there. The doctors were contemplating on the possibility that another physician told him to cure his constipation with a "Silver bullet" (which is a nickname for a Preparation H suppository in the medical field). And the conversation branched out to the usage of the word (and the actual ammunition).
I guess I like a challenging game. But I don't know the definition of "Super hard" games anymore. I haven't played in a long, long time. I've got too many things that keep me busy!
Nice! Definitely looking forward to see the photos taken by your new friend!

... nothing quite like an example to hit the message home.
In bigger cities (like Toronto, for example), there are multiple small language schools around. Some of them spend big money to put out advertisements, while others pay agents overseas to attract students. So there -is- competition in a field that I never knew existed. As the guy who picks up the phones, I was tasked with saying all the right things to people -would- consider us as the place to spend their money. So basically... yeah, I'm selling the school's "system"... while being paid as a receptionist. Another great reason why I got out of Dodge fast!
... the problem isn't recording my voice, it's that I don't know how to do it electronically so the voice file will save...
For some reason, my guts and my brain work the same way, we like old stuff. Even when it comes to wine, old-world wine seems to stay down a bit nicer than new world wines. But I do get to say, I don't drink wine much. (I should learn to how to say it like Dracula, actually...) And yes! Maker's Mark wasn't bad. But, hey... it's not Aberfeldy yet.
Honestly, never heard of this Jeppson's Malört. But if it is -that- bad... I gotta find a way to try it. I mean... Screech is bad enough. And unless we are drinking rubbing alcohol with food colouring, I can't imagine something being worse. Actually... wait a tick... I have a bottle of a Czech absinthe (complete with wormwood extract). That thing is 120-proof... and drinks like rubbing alcohol. You can't get worse than that!
Well, several years ago, there was an "official" article written by one of the senior members of DA regarding Dracula (part of a promotion for the "Dracula Untold" movie). I got into a "forum conversation" with some folks, including the author, regarding the factual basis of some of these claims. One of them eventually said to me "go check Wikipedia!" And my response was: "Yes, sir... I have already checked Wikipedia. But you -do- realize that it's not always correct, right?" I think the author wrote a half-*ssed "apology" that sounded more like "It's not my fault you people just read off of Wikipedia." But they didn't know that they were actually speaking to someone who presented a research project at a real conference regarding Bram Stoker and fictional vampires. So I listed off 10 "controversial" claims and listed the research and book reference for all of them. And the thread went quiet. You might call it a check-mate.
... The book is about 100 things found inside the human body where they shouldn't be found. One of them is the now notorious "You've got a friend in me" X ray: assets.nydailynews.com/polopol… I think that's a lot worse than a bullet, all things considered. I can get a bullet out relatively quick!
I do like that whole series of photos! I think the lighting effect looks great! There's a lot to love when it comes to that camera, that's for sure. And that's one hell of a cool feature. What a lucky find!

No problem! I'll see if I can work things out from here.
Now... is there anything in specific you'd want me to say? "Hello? How are you doing?" sort of things?
Oh... that was a classic! (Of course, Bela Lugosi is always a classic... ) So yes! I should put on my best vampire cape and try to learn to say it like that!
Let's put it this way, Aberfeldy is not quite a beginner's Scotch, but it's not a mean one. It's just a bit on the heavier, smoky side. But hey, it works out for some people. So yes, definitely worth a shot. A bottle does go somewhere between $50-60, however, so be careful of the price tag. As for the Screech... let's put it this way, it's what Patrick's dreams are made of. The way for people "from away" to become an "honorary Newfoundlander" is to down a shot of Screech and kiss a cod. It doesn't get more Maritime than this! And if you can top it off with music from the Great Big Sea... you guys are pretty much all set! All aboard!
Now, now... what you are describing has a name. It's not Bohemian Absinthe. It's called the "Pan galactic gargle blaster" www.youtube.com/watch?v=JH_CY1…
Sure, I do! Why wouldn't I expect good things from you and that lens? I mean... if there's something I know for sure, we sure as heck don't build things the way we used to anymore. I collect old books, you see. And sometimes one of them can weigh as much as 2, 3, paperbacks put together, even if they are the same size. That's the difference we are talking about here. So yes, of course I expect good things. And I am looking forward to them!

I like to think so, too. I mean... I -did- cut it, didn't I?
Thanks for your very kind words!
And no... I'm more than happy to answer your questions.
What kind of glue do I use? Funny that you might ask. I use a student's glue stick for the smaller pieces. These things are cheap, easy to get and they allow a little bit of freedom if you need to shift things around a bit. And since it's not a liquid, it doesn't really make a mess. So that's my go-to glue for small pieces. For sticking the piece onto a backing... well, you see, I don't usually glue things to a backing. When I can afford to frame them, they are usually framed without a backing at all. Fleeting seasons framed But when I do need a backing (like your piece, with the floating bits), I usually use a spray adhesive to avoid getting things wet. I use LePage's Pres-Tite www.amresupply.com/part/01-068… because it was what was available at the time. It's not bad, really. However, I haven't had much chance to try others out... mostly because I really rarely use a backing.
I hope this helps!

For those pieces its like putting a puzzle together, thats why I always keep the sections I cut them out from. That way I can line it all back up. The hard part is figuring out which small straight line fits where when they all look the same.
