I like the idea of having the cloths covering up the bottom half of their face. Combine with the glowing eyes, the look very eery and intimidating.

Actually, I did them after watching some video about World War 1, they had some cool looking guys manning a cannon with helmets, goggles, and rags over their nose/mouth. Looked cool, alot cooler than these guys turned out.

i like it. im not sure how you all can do this stuff how you do it... i can only make decent artwork traditionally with pencil, eraser and paper. youve gotta teach me!

I like the soldiers but the background doesn't do them justice, maybe you could throw together one of those quick landscapes your good at or use a previous one or something?
