Created during a youtube stream. Which I'm doing weekly thanks to the support of the awesome people on patreon. This came out halfway through and people requested I save it before painting it over. Nice camera angle! With the color palette, it reminds me of Rex Nebular: a cosmic genderbender.
One suggestion: the scale on the caustic refractions on the girl could appear a lot larger than on the submarine since she's a lot closer and a lot smaller than the submarine.

Rendering it a thing I don't really understand. When I watch streams or timelapses of anyone there's the basic sketch. Okay, put some basic shapes on the canvas. Clear, but then there's part usually about half or 3/4 way through when the artist spends a lot of time on something I don't see and suddenly after few minutes it looks amazing. And I have no idea what the heck was going on in there. The rest is usually adjusting light and dark, some colour filters and gradients etc. Even though on this pic you have really rough and meaningless edges and strokes but it still looks so damn good. How is it? It's kinda frustrating when things are happening by something that appears as magic to me and I can't see it and I'm far from even touching it.
