Great composition, and slightly haunting. Maybe the background could have been stronger, if the other door were open too, but I'm not sure myself. I like the way the telephone leads the eye and seems to be vainly reaching for the light.

I really like the picture, the only things that stand out to me as questionable are if something/someone broke in I think the phone receiver would be going way from the door if someone ran out and broke the window on the way out why did the glass make it so far in the room, and just for composition I think the phone dial is a little to dark, I don’t know why but I keep struggling to see more of the dial.

But why would the picture have anything to do with breaking in? It's been discussed before, here (I know you couldn't go through all the comments to see that, of course).

I dont see the message of this picture. The broken window gives a feeling that something came in, but its not in the angle of the window to fly through, and the glass is not in the angle of the window, so I'm forced to think you shot in front of the window. But when I realized the shadow is towards the lower edge of the shot, I realized a window couldn't be there. So my questioning would be what are the two relevant to each other. Only if someone broke in and used their phone, or if something flew through the window and knocked the phone of the hook, which confuses me since it is not on a table.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to think all of that, i'm flattered.
I think you are overanalysing it though: there's some broken glass, a telephone with it's line cut that has been dragged on the floor [see the lines next to it?] and a window with some light coming in. Why would the glass have to be from the window? Or the phone on a desk?
It's all what you want it to be, and if you don't like it, it's still fine, hehe. I did, so I took the shot.

I wont insult you by trying greek the closest I come to trying greek is food. But here goes the lighting in the background makes this shot. I like the dark moody effect it gives off, and as someone else has already said the phone looks too much like it was placed, would of been better off thrown/dropped. Top pic
