We found The strange little girl in the street, Cold and wet. "where are your parents" I inquired. She couldn't answer, she was dumb.We took her home and called around. No one knew who she was so the authorities made us keep her. It was fine with my wife sense she wanted a daughter anyway.
..... When christmas rolled around we gave her a hand crafted music box. I spent all fall working on it. The little Girl would have nothing to do with it. To this day I will never figure out why the strange little girl was afraid of a box.

I find I enjoy this picture. It feels eerie in a way to me. The completely darkened room with the little box feels like a great illustration for a horror story.
