Theme: Draw a pony keeping still/draw a pony holding tightTitle: "Gotcha!"
I need to draw, I want to draw.
Just needed a kick up the backside!
Going to try and take part in as many of the Artist Training Grounds as I can - the first day was special hence a fully complete picture (this took ~6-8 hours) Future images may be sketches/linework. Who knows?
It took a while to think of what I could do for this challenge. First ideas were the standard "Twilight clinging to a book/Chrysalis clinging to a heart". This went on to Rainbow dash flying fast with Fluttershy clinging to her. Eventually best shy pony became Applehorse - who refused to be airborne. Stubborn horse.

This is my first critique, so I hope it's good :b
I'll start off by saying how well you drew the positions, you can tell AJ is sliding down the dirt path because of how well Her limbs are placed, that pose is one that I like out of the two, though I equally like both, that one really gets me! The shading is pretty well done too, it makes look even more adorable! I can tell where the sun is because of the shading, which makes it look realistic, too. How you did the mane and tail is absolutely perfect, you can really tell its actually a bunch of strands of hair. I can definitely see lots of movement in this piece!
Now, RD's pose is really good, I love how you made her mad at Apple Jack for grabbing her tail, which makes this an even more fun, happy picture. I can practically hear this picture already! As much as you can tell Rainbow is trying to fly off, you can definitely tell she is angry at Apple Jack! The way you made those expressions is awesome, you can tell what's happening by just looking at the looks on their faces, which adds to the list of many reasons why I love this picture!
The detail you put into the background is astonishing, the moutains are simple but you can still tell they are more realistic than the ones in the show! The rolling hills make it look even better, I can tell the background took forever by just looking at it! The colors in the background also don't clash with the colors of the characters, especially the mountains, something about shades that fit perfectly with bright happy colors that makes it look better. The path and the surrounding grass is too perfectly done for words! I love how you showed that the path went downhill instead of making it flat.
To sum it all up, I really love this picture and hope to see more pictures as awesome as this!
