Story: The Free Will Test Race was the part of the Shedu Pedigree Certificate Avis was actually looking forward too. She had been rather nervous in the previous days probably because this was her first time competing her very own cats against the others. It felt surprisingly easier with unfamiliar cats which was something she would not have guessed.
But this morning was somehow different. She knew it the moment she woke up to the magical sunrise outside. Today, she was eager to race; she was eager to feel the cat's powerful movement beneath her body. She was excited like she was as a child when she first got to met one of these giant carnivores.
"Good morning" she greeted her older sister, whom she shared a room with, with a smile. Junice seemed surprised given her sister's careless mood.
"You not nervous?" she asked amazed while returning the smile.
"Not so much today" Avis assured her and together they went outside as everybody else did to prepare the cats.

West seemed pleased to see her after a good night's sleep and she met him with a gentle rub on his forehead and a little snack.
While he calmly swallowed the piece of bacon, she groomed him thoroughly until his coat shone.
"There's a good boy" she continuously directed him. "We don't need that uncomfortable heavy tack today, do we?"
West gave her a gentle purr as if he agreed.
When she was nearly done, she curiously peaked over to her sister and Dhalia. Junice seemed to have just finished grooming also and was now keeping the black one at bay. She never made it easy for her handler; avis knew it from training her back at home. Despite all that this female never ceased to amaze her. She was a beautiful animal full of elegance and pride.
Finally the two of them seemed ready; and so were Avis and West. The race could begin.
