Well, here it is, my first attempt at Flash.
Flash is tha shizzle. And I shall be taking the actual animation course next semester as well! Eeeee can't wait!
Now for a little history...
What is Raku? Raku is the style of pottery I've been practicing in my ceramics class. It was developed in Japan by Chojiro, a tile-maker for Hideyoshi's palaces. Hideyoshi's friend and "tea-master" Rikyu commissioned Chojiro to make tea bowls for Hideyoshi as well. But instead of making the bowls to be perfect and fancy, he made them simple and imperfect, like nature. The Raku style has been passed down 18 generations and is still practiced today.
But what I've been learning is the American variation of it ^_^' not quite the pure Raku...which is kind of a family secret!
Anywho, there was so much more I wanted to add to this, like Chojiro taking his bowl out of the kiln and then Rikyu presenting it to Hideyoshi...but time would not allow it. >_<
But I hope it's interesting anyway!

I had to fight DeviantArt tooth and nail to get this to work, but it finall did - and it was totally worth it! I thought it was beautiful, and I loved the scene where they bowed at each other. The way you animated the falling leaves right near the start worked out really well, too. Be proud, 'cause this is awesome!

Love it! We did Raku pottery in Ceramics last year. I never knew the background, though. Very cool.
Great job on the horse in particular.

OOOOOOOH, toyotomi hideyoshi! oh cool, i knew he instituted the geisha guilds, but not that he patronized a new pottery style!

i loved the scene in the workshop, and the galloping horse and soldier.
