Beautiful! I love the movement of the ink in this, especially in Batman's cape. The picture feels like it melds together in one gentle flow.

Love it. It has a really fashionable modern illustration feel to it, especially in the way you built up that building. The wash really seals it all together, and sets up a really strong contrast with the building. I would've probably mistakenly ended up doing a wash with the building too but you clearly found the best way to articulate everything. Amazing work.

The strong contrast between the background and the building was indeed intentional. I wanted to show batman as part of the building/city, like a protecting gargoyle of sorts - he often refers to Gotham as "his city" - while his tentacle-like cape is enveloping the night sky.
