And I can't wait to get on the road again ...
The plan was to take the next ferry to Paros after arriving in Piraeus. Unfortunately, there was no space for the car. So we decided to spend the next 2 days at a campsite at the headland of Velo (Heraion). It was terribly hot in the car (in Athens there were even deaths as a result of the heat wave) - air conditioning was not state-of-the-art at that time - so we drove with the windows open.
I took the opportunity to photograph the ships in the Megara Gulf on their way to the Corinth Canal from the passenger seat. The nose sticking out into the picture belongs to my buddy Walter, with whom I was travelling at that time ...
