I'm just remembering the anime Kadocha. All the fans of that when it was on YouTube and just recently out in Japan , all the fans were all over the shipping. When they intruded a new romantic interest just to add distraction and drama to the shill all the fans wanted, people flipped out. This guys clearly there to distract the ship and shake things up. we all know how things will really end.
the main difference, at this point in our story no one has revealed there secret feelings for any one to each other.
in other stories when a new romantic interest shows up we have already established the 1st two as a possible couple and then one of the characters gets jalousie and acts like a jerk.
like what we see with Code Lyoko's Yumi, Ulrich, William or TMNT 2012's April, Don, Casey or
with Ladybug we may avoid the whole "Jealousy thing since every one so far is at the "Just friends" stage
I don't know what the fan reaction is since I'm not reading comments in reaction videos like I was back when Kadocha was a big deal.

There's a lot of fanarts of Luka, and Luka and Marinette are a big deal right now, but I think the fandom is taking this way better than other similar situations I watched before, I think Luka's getting a better welcome than Kagami or Lila.
I truly like this guy, so I hope they don't give him the Nathanaël or Lila treatment and at least develop him a little bit and let him help other characters to grow before they get rid of the poor guitarist X,D because we all know sooner or later Marinette and Adrien will be end game.
