Commission for TheHappySultan
This is a very special commission because it's to celebrate my dear friend TheHappySultan/Nick's 30th birthday!
It's part of a set done by many different artists c:
I was tasked to do his oc, the former Princess and now genie Pentecost!
She is the protagonist of his story "The Princess's Wish". You can read it here:
The Princess's WishThere once lived a princess of a kingdom, Princess Pentecost, named because she was born on the day of the Pentecost many many years ago. The girl had beautiful long red hair, which was up in a ponytail, and pale skin. Unfortunately, it was a sickly pale color, as a terrible illness befell her since she was a child, called Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. It was a lung disease caused by inhaling very fine quartz dust particles, caught when, as she recalls, this platypus-looking entity was munching on quartz and breathed in her face. There was no cure that they could find, and the poor princess developed a coughing fit as time went on. She felt weak the more it spread into her lungs, and only barely came out of her room. She was practically close to death, but when she was well into her 18th year, she found a cure.It was an oil lamp. Stories told of genies inside these artifacts that would grant the summoner wishes. If there was anything that would cure her of this disease, it had to be the lamp. She asked her guards to find out about such an item, which they found about one in an old ruin. She sent her best knight to search the ruins, and after a near death experience navigating a labyrinth and plenty of booby traps, the lamp was obtained. The princess had kissed the knight on his forehead, telling him about a reward when she was cured, before she took the lamp from him and closed her bedroom door. Princess Pentecost admired the decorative, brass oil lamp that she now held in her hands. A smile formed on her face, before her coughing fit hit her, the loudest one anyone in the castle had ever heard from her. She dropped the lamp, fell to her knees, and clutched her chest, as her fit went on for at least a minute. Tears formed in the princess’s eyes as it happened, and when the coughs had finished they were replaced with whimpers. “I’m…so sick…of this thing…” Pentecost whined, as she was curled in a ball. “For years all I can do is cough…and cough…and cough… My chest aches, I barely can stand…That damn thing cursed me, and took my life away!” She uncurled herself, as her eyes landed back on the brass oil lamp she dropped. “I really hope there's a genie inside you. That it’s not just some dumb bedside story, and you can cure me…” Shakily, she reached for the lamp and grabbed it. She rubbed the lamp as the stories had told her to do, as she waited. The lamp began to heat up in her hands, forcing her to drop it. The brass object began to shake, before purple smoke erupted from the tip. The whole room was covered in a thick mist, only causing the princess to continue having a coughing fit. But, after a few moments, the smoke had cleared to reveal a young woman kneeling, or what would be considered kneeling, before the princess. She had long dark hair wrapped in a pony-tail and purple skin, with elf-like ears. She wore a veil to partially cover her mouth, a vest which partially covered her breasts, and a long loincloth which would have hid her privates and butt, except for the fact she had a smokey tail which was connected to the lamp. All her clothing was colored blue, except for the shackles she wore on her wrists and collar. Finally, the girl opened her eyes, looking at the princess. “You have freed me from my prison, great Mistress. My name is Ghaada. Tell me…how can this genie serve you?” The genie spoke in a velvety lithe of a voice. Pentecost looked in awe at this beautiful woman that kneeled before her. She crawled over to her, as she began to place a gentle hand on her face. The genie just stared at her, smirking. “Mistress, I assure you…I am real.” “I…I don’t believe it.” She grabbed both Ghaada’s cheeks. “You are real…” The princess started to cry again, only for the genie to gasp. “Mistress, I am so sorry. Did I do something to offend you? Speak out of line? Forgive your humble servant–” “No, no…it’s not that. I’ve…I’ve waited so long for you.” Pentecost smiled. “For…me?” Ghaada blushed. Pentecost nodded. “You see, I have a…bad disease, Genie Ghaada.” The princess started. “We’re tried numerous things to get rid of it, but nothing will work. No cure for this thing anywhere. That was…until I read about genie lamps. I can wish for anything from a genie, correct?” “You can, my mistress.” The genie nodded. “Can I wish for my disease to be gone?” “As long as you use the words ‘I wish…,’ then anything is possible for me to grant.” Ghaada softly smiled. “Then please…my genie…Ghaada…I wish my…oh what’s the name? Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis was gone!” “That’s a mouthful of a disease, Mistress. But I will grant your wish.” Ghaada’s eyes began to glow white. “Tell me…what part of the body does this affect?” “The lungs.” The genie took a finger, and lightly touched her chest. The princess felt something begin to stir inside of her. Ghaada then moved her finger slowly up her chest and along her neck, where Pentecost let out a loud cough. Out popped a twister of particulates, looking like a fine powder of quartz. The genie snapped her fingers, and the little twister vanished. “Well, Mistress? How do you feel?” "I…I feel…" The princess grabbed at her chest, her lungs no longer felt constricted anymore. She gave it a moment, and there was no coughing or anything. She closed her eyes, as she took a deep breath in and let a shaky breath out. Tears began to fall from her eyes, as a smile formed on her face."Mistress! You are crying! Are you ok?""I'm more than ok…I'm cured." Princess Pentecost threw herself at Ghaada and embraced her. "It really worked…thank you…"The genie smiled and blushed, hugging her back. "I live to serve, mistress. I have the abilities, you just have to say what you want."Pentecost slowly let go of Ghaada and looked at her. "I have to repay you in some way." The princess stated."Oh! Mistress, that's ok. You don't need to do anything for me.""But I insist, Ghaada. You did this thing for me, please… let me know what you want? Freedom?""Freedom!?” Gasped Ghaada. No one had ever offered her freedom before. But, it wasn’t as easy as freeing Ghaada from her chains and lamp. Something else was involved with it. She had to let the princess know. “Mistress, I would love to be free, but–""Then I wish for you to be free!" Pentecost smiled, happy to be doing a good thing."Mistress there's something you should–""Ghaada, please. Let me wish for your freedom. I don't care how many wishes I have left. A cure was the only thing I wanted."The genie bit her lip, but she nodded. The princess had made up her mind, and there was no convincing her otherwise. "Understood, mistress. Your wish will be granted" Her eyes began to glow as she snapped her fingers. Full chains had appeared on her shackles, leading into the lamp. The shackles unhinged themselves from her wrists and neck and lay on the floor. The color of her skin changed from that purple hue it was to a sun-kissed skin color, and her tail morphed into two legs. With a small smile, Ghaada said "Thank you, Mistress…" At that moment, the shackles began to shake on the ground as they attached themselves to the princess's body. Pentecost now shocked, Ghaada frowned, finishing her statement. "...but I really would have preferred if you didn't make that wish…""Wait, what's happening?" Asked Princess Pentecost, as her skin color started changing into the purple hue that Ghaada’s skin had just been."You freed the genie of the lamp. But now another must take my place…and that person is you. Mistress, I'm so sorry. I really wanted you to listen!"The princess made a mistake to jump to her wish so quickly, she never suspected that the lamp would need a new genie. She gave up one curse for another it seemed. "Ghaada, please! There must be another way!" She shrieked."There isn't…""Maybe I can use another wish to make someone else take my place?""I'm not attached to the lamp anymore, I can’t grant any more wishes for you… "The princess bit her lip, as she felt her legs combine into a smokey tail, as it began to find its way to the lamp's tip. Then…a connection happened. The lamp began to glow and pulled the princess inside, by the tail and chains. Pentecost tried to fight it as she yanked on her tail, pulled her wrists and neck up to break the chains, but they wouldn’t budge. It only caused the lamp to suck her in faster. "Please, help me!!!" She pleaded."Mistress, I can't. This is the genie way…I couldn't help you even if I tried. You're the genie of this lamp now." The tip of the lamp had just gotten past her tail, and to her hips. Her body seemed to squeeze into the small hole as if she was made of putty. It felt like the hardest, weirdest embrace to her, and all she could do was watch and hope for some kind of plan to pop in her head. By the time it reached her chest, it seemed to come to a standstill, slowly trying to work around her breasts. She could feel the lamp pull harder, and it was only a matter of time before it completely engulfed her. There was no way out of this. There was only one thing she could request. “If my fate is to be a genie, then I have no choice but to accept. All I wish of you now is to protect me! You know what it's like to be a magical servant? Knowing how cruel this world can be, I think I’d rather be your genie than–” FwoompPrincess Pentecost, now Genie Pentecost, was inside her new home. The freed Ghaada, a bit in shock at watching a new genie form, took a second to appreciate the new freedom she had. Unchained to her vessel, her normal skin color, her legs. They were all back…but at what cost? Ghaada looked back at the lamp and slowly crawled over to it. The princess was right…Ghaada knew what it was like to be a genie. To be trapped, to grant wishes for cruel and greedy masters. Even the occasional good hearted ones could never outweigh all the bad. Plus, the feeling of being alone. Ghaada cupped the lamp in her hands, and lifted it up. "Ok, new genie. So you never have to follow the same exact path I had… I will protect you. This wish, as a freed genie, I can grant you."
She is holding a strawberry cheesecake with candles and happy to be wishing up a cake but...conflicted about her new life as a genie, that seems like a curse.
I hope you like it ~
