Description This is a watercolour/pencil I did a while ago - sorry about the scan I had to do it in pieces. Also the colours aren't quite right also due to scannerly things.

This piece will also be submitted into a new club I started for watercolour/pencil mixed media. Please join and submit deviations ^_^

nice job with the watercolouring - those things are awkward to work with... have been doing too many "practise" pieces as a result, as everything i want to watercolour is too damned difficult at the moment.

Hm, thanks for the nice comment ^_^ So, what have you tried to watercolour thus far? You should realise that attempting to watercolour on normal drawing paper is an excersise in futility, you either can get away with using heavy weight cartridge paper (which I've used for the smokescreen picture and other such works) or use proper watercolour paper which is even better ... but you really have to have the right type of paper otherwise it's an exersise in futility.

Have taken a break from Koi picture and am now working on a watercolour/pencil of Howl. Howl is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee et.

you're welcome. Have been watercolour pencilling various horse sketches, trying to work out what i do and don't like working with. I've only been using proper watercolour paper - have an A5, A4 and A3 pad of medium texture... i think i just need more practise. the overly strong pencil lines irk me when i accidentally use them.

wow, you have three types of watercolour paper wow, am extremley envious... at the moment I have on 12 piece pad of a size between A4 and A5, the pages are about 10"x7"... and I'm down to like 9 sheets.... hehehe aw well, having limited quantity encourages me to not waste paper ^_^ so, planning on posting any of these things? even just as scraps if you're not happy with them, I'd still enjoy to see them ^_^ aaahhh... just remembered am goign to be teaching mother how to watercolour so am going to have to share my 9 pages.... and she doesn't have as many qualms as I do about wasting paper so I'm goign to have to arrange a migration to jacksons soon.

Oh, sri said you were going away on thursday? where are you going?

not sure if i'm going to hong kong or not - there's a chance that i'll get left behind if i need to apply in person for my uni course while we'd have been away. in which case, i'll be proposing a mass migration over to this one's house, complete with anime, art supplies and enough sugar to intoxicate a country... but planning aside... ^_^;;
i have one A3 watercolour (partially complete) and one mixed media (3x A5, plus borders) that i'd like to post, but the scanner's A4, so i'll probably have to rely on photography... Ah yes! Was also going to post cosplay costumes in Textiles... dare i be so foolish?
a trip to jacksons sounds like fun - i unearthed $70 cleaning my room... who'd have thought that cleaning would ever come to anything.

oh, so you might be staying behind? Well you may have to, you have to go in to enrol don't you? sri's enrolling Wednesday ^_^ you can make do scanning things bigger then A4, this was A3 and didn't scan too badly.... photography isn't that great an option for me becuase I tend to angle the camera.... hehe, Yay, we can have watercolour fun together!
