Yes, it's a metal blade. I haven't got in trouble yet, which I'm quite happy for. But I know that one of the security-guards checked my sword once, but since it's not sharp at all he just put it back and walked away without saying anything... But I am thinking of putting some tape och glue on it so that it'll be harder to unsheathe. :/
But I guess the day will come soon when I won't get permission to get it inside a convention. xD
