Would you go more map oreinted? or less so?
I thought I would do more maps and landscapes, but it turned out quite different.

Next year maybe I'd go with whatever you feel you want  to do in the moment. IMO Inktober is just to be consistent in drawing every day and not about the subject. At least this is how I would have handled it
