...do as the loco do.Loco-lu- I mean, *InsaneRoman has been a good friend of mine for a very long time. The character I decided to draw for her was of her sona, Shinta. Why? Because not only is it a beautiful sona, it also reminds me a lot of autumn (which is my favourite season and very fitting since we are still in autumn) and Shinta was the first I saw of hers. In all her pictures, Shinta had the greatest goofy expressions and they always made my day. This is the least I could do to pay back.
Third of who knows how many gifts I plan on doing. This one actually wasn't supposed to be started until a long time from now, but I was feeling crappy after I didn't kattobingu on my biology test today. :/ Although my hand was in severe pain due to 4 pages of crammed writing, I thought I'd draw to take my mind off things. I would have done commissions, but I didn't want to screw up- especially since people payed. Long story short, I'm totally not feeling the flow today.

I never use the same texture twice, so it's difficult to say.

It's neat that you take your own pictures and turn them into texture for your art <3 it really made it look cool! I need to try that for when I think a simple picture looks boring and needs spicing up

It's really not as difficult as it seems- if I can do it, you can most definitely do it 1000 times better.

Oh, I'm sure it looks fine. xD It'll take lots of patience, that's for sure. But once you get the hang of it, you won't be able to stop...or maybe that's just me. xD'' I'd say one thing I learned from making this is: don't overdo the shading. Every strand of fur doesn't have to stand out- basically what I figure works best is start with how you'd cell shade normally, and then the part where it starts to transition from shadow to light, add little tear drop type shadows- but again, don't over do it. (I whipped this up in two seconds, hopefully you get what I mean xDD [link] ) Of course I'm no expert, so I'll leave you to your ref studies.

very much so! i was trying to use too many colors so i took some out and make the shapes blocks of color and not furry texture and they look better - not perfect, but i think i'm on the right track :3
the anubis one was fun cause in his description he has a black face that shines like gold, so the fur was fun to color ^^ the beta is the release of the desert area so we decided on a scorpion dragon, anubis, mushussu, and lotus/gaters ^^
little baby astra is going well, i've been stuffed with work, and with some companies wanting samples i've not had the time to get lots of work done - tomorrow i'll take pics and update, it's been a while ^^ i finished one of her toeless feet XD
I'll figure out something - i have an idea, i just need tiiime :3

Yeah, I'm feeling a bit...bleh cos I didn't KATTOBINGU on my bio test yesterday even though I studied for weeks. :/ And then the teachers started blabbing on about how all our projects/assignments/essays/tests will be due/taking place next week.
