The weathervane rooster of Braheastad's church has fallen during a windstorm, and turns out this is a sign of an omen, telling that three noteable from Braheastad will perish soon. Two have already died; the stationmaster and the magistrate, and the local seer has foreseen that mayor Corbalt will be the third to die!!! But there may be a way for him to avoid this fate by accomplishing some heroic deed...

What exactly and what is the wind paladin Sir Kiljaos's role in this?

This whole thing of three noteable people dying when weathervane gets tilted or falls down is based on a real local story regarding to the weathervane rooster of Raahe church, both the old one's and current one's. The new church's weathervane rooster got tilted once in 1936 and indeed within a year 1936-1937 three noteable people from Raahe did die: first the stationmaster when he got into a storm while sailing and drowned, then the provost on a failed surgery, and finally the mayor by first getting a fever and then dying on a failed surgery too. Coincidence or does the story hold truth...?
