Description
There is a legend that comes from the area near Loch Brennon, in County Banyon, of a maiden whose whole clan was killed by raiders. She was spared only because she was away at the time. Upon her return she found the devastation and, it is said, wept for three days. Finally she picked up a sword, and on the banks of the Loch, bade the Goddess to give her the power to take vengeance upon those who had killed her clan. Once her blood lust was satisfied she returned to the Loch and flung the sword, and then herself, into its depths.
