I wanted to do a little doodle for Autumn cause it is my absolute FAVORITE season, I just love the colours and the leaves and the chilly weather, its so nice ; v ;I'm just gonna go on a little tangent here about why I love autumn, cause damn do I love this season. The colours of the leaves are so pretty, I mean, trees are regularly pretty but when the wind has splashes of orange and red and purple in it from the leaves falling off the trees is just so lovelyyyy
I also just, love the weather??? I love being able to wear sweaters and sweatpants when I go outside and getting to snuggle up in a blanket with some hot chocolate when I'm at home. I live up in Canada, so the winters are super cold and go down to about -35C/-31F and in the summer it goes up to about 35C/95F so the temp in Autumn is a nice break from the heat and a good way to prepare for the bone chilling winter.
The aesthetic of Autumn is also my favorite, I mean, I love snow and Christmas a lot too, but Halloween is THE BEST. Not everyone likes halloween, but I love it because its a good opportunity to just... be spooky... nobody questions it, I just get to draw spooky stuff and listen to creepy music without a care in the world! Its wonderful, and then I get to dress up and go cheat people out of their candy (thats right i still trick or treat i look like im fuckin 11) and then afterwards all the candy is on sale and I get to gorge myself with sweets, whats not to love?

Honestly I am kinda proud about how this looks, I have never been good at lineless but I have always wanted to get good at it? This was just an awesome opportunity to practice between adopts and owed art and I am really glad I got to draw something this year to celebrate my favorite season.
Please be kinda gentle with critiques! I do want critique for sure, but keep in mind I have never drawn something like this before, thanks!

This is cute. Art as always is opinion and style is a preference. Having said that if you wanted to give your piece a more polished look picking a complementary color for the background may help. While the background draws your eye it clashes a bit. (again this is opinion) Adding a darker line around the background also closes the picture so the eye doesn't keep searching.
Adding more shading or gradient to the leaves would make them pop even more.
Don't feel too bad about the hands. They are the hardest bit to get. Leonardo Davinci spent years learning how to draw hands.

This is soooo cute. The sweet smile, the "Look at me! Look at me!" eyebrows, the wreath of leaves at the bottom (they're in a variety of light and dark shades and colors! Nice touch!). Now, about the background: instead of pink, I would have chosen a golden or brown background, to give it a bit more autumn feel. As for the hands, I think they're cute too, but I have to agree, they're a little off. Perhaps you could have spread the fingers apart a little more? I think it's really good! I like the colours and the style and shading is good. The leaves and the pumpkin give the drawing a special spirit. The nose and the mouth are great. I don't really like the eyes, I mean, they are ok but they don't really fit with the drawing. Maybe they should be brown, I don't know.The clothes look good on the character and fit in the drawing perfectly. The background colour is really cute and it fits too. The ears and hands are a little weird, but anyways I think it's really cool. Keep it good!!

I love how the colours all go together but I think you could lower the eyebrows a bit to make them on the face. I think you should make the hands look like they're holding the pumpkin you could have probably put more leaves in so they look more full I think you should make it look like his ear is actually connected to his head You should maybe make the pink leaves more fat so they make thre leaves look full but its an amazing piece with great shading and nice colors its a nice piece to look at its beautiful

For vision, you did very well with the coloring, shading, and how you made the whole picture have a lineless effect to it. I also like how you incorporated all of the fall colors in this as well. It gives the picture a nice warmth to it. The purple also gives it a little pop.
For originality, I think the picture is very original. ^^
For technique, you did very well in how you drew the shapes for the leaves near the bottom of the picture. I also like how you did the shading on the sweater, the hair, and the pumpkin.
For impact, I think it brings a seasonal feeling to it since the different colored leaves and pumpkin represents Autumn.
Overall, you did a wonderful job on this. ^^

omg are you really gonna make me criticize this adorable sugar puff? your art is adorable and i'm jelly over your line and coloring! now obviously hands are the devil with a butcher knife to most artists- but you. should. use. references! now something that bugs me a lot is the smile. if you look closely there is a little dip that the bottom on the mouth on the right hand side, just under the 2nd to last tooth, and ITS THAT DIP that makes the smile look kinda forced and... i dunno odd?? color use is on point but i do not get the purple leaves, once you notice them they just kinda stand out and bug you.

Ahhh tysm for the critique! Yeah I originally was gonna just do a coloured sketch so i didn't pay attention to the hands which I really should have when I started making it lineless haha
I also didn't notice that thing about the teeth! I did notice the smile was kinda forced looking (I did the same thing with the hands, noticed it but didn't fix it later haha) but I definitely didnt see that specific spot!

As I observed, this is your first lineless artwork ( which I never try to be honest because i don't know how I will make it work ) and by that personal remark I'm actually really impressed by this. Now, let's go in topics here:
- Leaves: They really catch my attention specially because of the title ( hur dur ) but the thing is, it's not a generic artwork, like, "autumn" and it's just like, leaves. The leaves are there for detail, and simply enough they add a LOT to this piece. Because the background is simple, the leaves really give an extra detail that makes this piece to NOT be bland. That's why I particularly like them and how they were placed over the character. They color also matches the pumpkin and I don't know how to put it simply but, I guess it gives an "addition" to the pumpkin as well.Β
- Character: The character design is simple but the smooth and soft shading add the necessary detail to not make it look like it was paper cut, even though I also like that kind of style as well, the simplicity in extreme in this one would not work so well, so I aprecciate the detail and the shading on the character, it gives more dimension and it makes the character look comfy and cozy, which makes the piece in an overall look relaxing.
- Expression: he's just, oh so happy. I can't say no to a cute and adorable face like this. His expression is soft, nothing too exaggerated but nothing too bland. He's happy and that's all that matters. I also like how he's looking to the side instead to me, like something that he's looking at is making he smile. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I like it either way. The way that his eyes also pop out in the piece also is something that attracted me. The blue is a bright color and it mixes well with the other colors.Β
In a general analysis, I really enjoy this piece, and i hope you make more lineless pieces like this in the future ^^
