What a wonderful Christmas Scene! I've yet to do a snow scene but every time I see one makes me want to try. It's Victorian so I love it anyhow, but your unique touch always makes it special.

Now a new decade has begun! Maybe it will be the "Golden Twenties" 2.0 or more the "Roaring 20th"?
Nobody knows, but we are able to create our own worlds
and to preserve a few things we think are the best of of the past.
I wish you a good start in the new year, a stable health and never dry up ideas, patience and creativity to bring
your dreams to render life. Btw. congrats to your 1003 watchers!!! What a wonderful success!

I'm glad that my little visit through your profile made you check my last works of the year. I'm always a little depressed after the magical times of Christmas and your encouragements are more than welcome. After about 12 years making 3D,first with Vue then with Daz, I'm just sad of the few projects of mine which came to an end. The time passed so quickly I'm very pessimistic in life (probably the reason of my needs of dreaming). Will my interest for 3D survive another decade? I really hope so and my little growing success since I've been posting my work ( only for 4 years actually) will help me a lot for sure. Ha ha, I hope I don't depress you Just to thank you so much for your precious words as always. It really means a lot. Happy new year Enchanted-April, I wish you the best

And I'm glad you visited me, so it was a nice little kick to wake me up.
The last months was so full of work and my brain had not the smallest space for a 3d-thought.
Making my Xmas card was a pain this time, no idea, no inspiration. But I had to do it. It's a tradition. I cannot bake cookies
And if I have a look into my gallery I can see how much projects I did every year between the Xmas cards.
That's why I can understand you so well. Even though I created my new best (on dA) picture last year - it was in January!!!
And I did just two more sophisticated images more throughout the year. Hmmm! I'm not even at version 4.12 yet...
What's going on? I think the more we learn, the higher are our standards for the finished work - it's a personal trap!
I have a lot of really good ideas, but thinking of all the work and the time it takes and to know I have to learn some skills more to execute them
makes me so tired... ha, ha, could I depressed you back well? And besides, I'm waiting for the 500th watcher. After 10! years here
Dearest Sir, that's all nonsense of dark moments and you know that. Every artist has his doubts and all we need is a little break now and then, patience and affection
with ourselves, staying power and to know: 1) that every single picture we make now is much more better than all we make in a whole year when we started and later
and 2) we have not to make a living with our art. We have just to love it! My decision for this year is to become better with modeling. I will do a new jump into the
newest incredible Blender2.8 release and really learn MarvelousDesigner. Maybe I can become a PA sometime as a second income - that's my far goal dream for when
I'm going to be old, wrinkly and teethless *giggling bouncing around*?!
But by then we're gonna have a lot of fun here in the next decade, aren't we?

Thank you for your big comforting reply. I really appreciate that you took the time to share your feelings to make me feel less alone in those hard times ( just a way of speaking, I'm far from being unlucky ). It just confirms all I know about you because your few works are always representative of your 3D process. I have a very different approach. I just hope to finish all my works in progress before learning new skills (I prefer quantity over quality). The result: I still use Daz v 4.9, I don't know anyhthing about D-Force, I don't use Gen 8, I spent money on expensive 3D software I haven't used yet and the redoubtable Daz promos made me buy an insane quantity of unused 3D models I'm not afraid about my taste for 3D, I'm just anxious about life events that could be obstacles to this pleasure. I don't care about being old, wrinkly and teethless as long as I'm still able to enjoy my hobby!!! That's all I wish for the future and both of us

Thank you for your visit and comments Kibosh. I just get a little more motivation the past weeks even if I'm only able to experiment rather than really creating. I envy the courage of some artists. Just look at that (the second picture I mean ) www.artstation.com/artwork/qAV…

I don't really understand if he painted directly on the render or if the textures were really applied to the models but in any case it's a fabulous work. I was sure that Kibosh and you would be as much impressed as I was

He used Mari, a 3d-painting software. He painted on the models. I should study it a little bit. But even if this work is incredible and perfect done and overwhelming in its complexity for me it makes no sense to copy a painting 1:1 without any personal twist. The only reason to do so could be he did it as an hardcore exercise?!?

Totally agree. If I had his talent I would not spend so much time reproducing something completely similar. I really like to imitate existing pieces but only because I want to make some modifications or because I want to incorporate some of my characters And 3D performance is never my goal in my work, if postwork is more easy and equivalent it's enough for me. But of course, how not being admirative? Hey, just look at this one Enchanted-April: www.artstation.com/artwork/2x1…

Awww, thank you for the link, great amusement for me, of course, but than I saw the same thing. It is exactly made after a drawing.
That's why you showed it to me? I don't understand these artists. They spend their lifetime and patience and all to reproduce exact the same
optical joy... great work, indeed, but complete senseless. But the nice thing is, it made you think of me

Yes that's why I gave you the link, not only because of the theme The title of the artwork is "We're all mad here". Seems to apply to the artist too

Wow, wow, wow, speechless! That's the kind of thing which could cause one to give up entirely. (kidding, it's fun creating anything really)
I've had a bit of a creative binge lately but don't know how long it will last so I'm just trying to get everything done while I feel like it. Nice to see that you've been motivated too in the last few weeks, it's always a difficult time after the Christmas holidays.
