Description
Those who know a little my work won't be surprised if I say I'm eagerly waiting to see the coming movie 'The House with a Clock in Its Walls' I hope so much it will be wonderful! Here is a little render inspired by a scene from the trailer. I can't wait!Rendered in Daz3D with Iray. All 3D models are purchased from Daz3D, Renderosity and Turbosquid.

I can imagine one of my cats doing what you're trying to show, but the paw would be tilted up, they don't bend down in the middle of the foreleg like that.
It's the very tip (equivalent to the fingers) that can tip up or down,... and down is bad, it's normally with claws, and claws, they don't go well with lace, stockings, satin,.... or boobs.

Ohhhhhh - I just saw the trailer and I also need to see the movie now! This is so cool, kinda creepy and yet cute both at the same time. I can imagine what will happen when the kitten accidentally sticks it's claws into the tentacle... Kitten wins!

Merci. Cà ne m'étonne pas. Je me demande parfois ce qui t'attire dans mes rendus, très éloignés de ton univers. L'aspect 3D je suppose

Nos rendus sont très proches par le sens du détail, la volonté du tout 3D et la concentration sur un ou deux personnages fétiches.
Il est facile de faire un rendu avec un personnage, une bonne image en HDRI et une pose plus ou moins appropriée. Ce n'est pas ce que nous faisons.

Je vois bien ce que tu veux dire, d'ailleurs, même si je suis globalement beaucoup plus attaché à l'atmosphère qu'à la technique, tu sais que tes rendus ultra léchés ne me laissent pas non plus insensibles. J'aime particulièrement ton récent rendu "Dear". Les textures et la netteté sont à tomber par terre...

Dans Iray, sur l'anti aliasing, j'utilise Mitchell en algo avec un point à 1 ou à 0.8 pour obtenir une forte netteté. Il faut faire attention, les effets de BUMP peuvent être très exagéré en gros plan. La netteté fait aussi ressortir les défauts des textures... si j'ajoute des nuages ou un effet de flou, c'est que je dois masquer des problèmes.

J'entends bien et je me doute que ce n'est pas aussi simple. Des rendus aussi propres, sans effets accessoires, nécessitent probablement un gros travail sur le choix et l'ajustement des textures et modèles utilisés pour avoir un résultat potable. Je testerai par curiosité mais je ne l'envisage même pas pour mes rendus. Les textures que j'utilise ne s'y prêtent pas pour la plupart.

Oui, je passe beaucoup de temps dans l'onglet surface à ajuster les paramètres des shaders. La pratique de Surface Painter permet de mieux comprendre les différentes propriétés d'un shader PBR. En général, les anciennes textures se convertissent très bien avec un peu d'astuce et de pratique. Pour les gros plans il faut une résolution élevée, bien sur.
