I held a contest recently andwon it. He gave me several characters and said, "Pick one and surprise me."
From the list I picked Vex'ahlia the Ranger. Vex is, as many probably know, Laura Bailey's D&D character in the famous show, Critical Role! Also present: Trinket the Bear, Vex's faithful animal companion.
PS. Hm, I think Trinket is the 1st bear I've ever painted. I've certainly done many bugbears, but never bears...)
PPS. Here's a small SirTiefling secret for ya. I have a teddybear - over 50 years old! - sitting on the shelf. It gathers dust but I refuse to let go of it. It reminds me, "There are older things around here than you!"

When the time comes and she creates a new character, there's probably going to be a new pet, too. I really don't mind if they keep playing their current characters and become epic demigods, but it will also be interesting to see them playing something new.

Yes, I know Critical Role. Honestly, I'm not a real RPG nerd, but it's a great show to watch (or mostly listen) when I'm painting new pictures. Much better than any generic TV show, that's for sure.
Other Critical Role characters? Hmm, maybe one day. Let's not overburden my creativity!

i usually admire your stones and ground, but here the whole background captivated me, the different green spots and light make the branchy planty shapes look mysterious. and the character is great as usual and the face is very nice.
