Description Zeez all those colors... nearly burned my eyes off.

Anyway! This is what happens when a cute, quiet, harmless-looking nerd girl...
<- she
...goes out to have some fun.

The main sources of my inspiration were the Sorcerers of Dungeons & Dragons, especially the ones in 4th Edition. I think our sorceress here is a Primordial Channeler casting "Primordial Rift", a messy spell.

Tools: Mouse, Paint Shop Pro 7

Full view strongly recommended. There are so many details.

UPDATE: Improved spell effects, fixes, stuff.

UPDATE Mk.2: Improved lighting, more rain, fixes, stuff. Should look more wet and foggy.

The guards are very similar to those of Fables 3

It's fun playing a wild magic druid in 5th edition.

Druid: I shall use...WILD MAGIC!!!!
*roles dice*
Druid: *turns into a potted plant*

Druids can use wild magic??

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ArcanumTwilight In reply to SirTiefling [2015-10-31 19:44:58 +0000 UTC]

WAIT!.....I made a mistake. ย  It's still sorcerers that use wild magic. Druids have wild shape. *looked it up again*ย

Remember it was a multi class character of a druid/sorcerer that was used.

Note to self: Try not to write stuff when late at night...and half asleep.

camname21 [2011-08-17 05:37:49 +0000 UTC]

I see you have taken away the purple and blue from the main lightning branches and brightened it up considerably. This does make it look a bit more like you would think, but it looses some of the chaos of the spell. Nice to see the ground below her feet tweaked with.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

SirTiefling In reply to camname21 [2011-08-17 12:58:43 +0000 UTC]

SirTiefling In reply to Chozohm [2011-08-16 21:25:17 +0000 UTC]

I hope she'll be casting them in some other picture! I'm always fixing and adjusting something. A bad habit.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Chozohm In reply to SirTiefling [2011-08-17 06:05:28 +0000 UTC]

So make that your goal. Tell yourself to be able to show a new spell, you have to start a new picture instead of fiddling with the old one!

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

SirTiefling In reply to Chozohm [2011-08-17 12:31:49 +0000 UTC]

A wise advice, but difficult to apply. I'm often talking to myself, telling myself things... but because I'm a suspicious individual, paranoid even, I refuse to believe anything I say.

NoirRojo [2011-08-14 19:58:43 +0000 UTC]

This is pretty awesome. My only issue with it is the lightning. There's a little too much of it. A job well done, nonetheless.

Malahhai In reply to SirTiefling [2011-08-14 23:49:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that might be more than just a possibility...
A little thought to add that just came to my head: why have I never seen a fat female zombie? Female zombies are always thin, and the fatsos are always guys. When I think about it, I've never seen any fat female-kind of undead...
Maybe chunky women are immune!!!

I have a question though - the writing on her staff, does it mean something?

extremely brilliant picture
and you did it with a
m-mouse?

SHOโ”โ”ฮฃ(๏พŸะ”๏พŸ|||)โ”โ”OCK!!
you are like, wow, awesome.

could you give some tips for mouse users like me?
and oh, do you draw on a scanned lineart or you completely draw it digital? if you draw it with mouse, how do you draw so good with a mouse? and how do you color? it looks like it's done with a tablet. and adding details doesn't make you bored? how many hours do you spend on a picture?

whoa, i ask too much \๏ผˆยฐใƒญยฐ๏ผ‰/

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

SirTiefling In reply to gochawan [2011-08-12 21:19:53 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. Yes, I did it with a mouse.

I gave few tips here: [link] Check the comments under the thumbnails.

It's 100 % digital. No scanning, no tablet. No boredom either, adding details is fun. Took me 30+ hours.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

gochawan In reply to SirTiefling [2011-08-12 23:51:35 +0000 UTC]

whoa, thanks for those cool tips. (๏พ‰โ—•ใƒฎโ—•)๏พ‰*:๏ฝฅ๏พŸโœง

do you have a technique about drawing with a mouse? if yes, can i learn? o(^ฯ‰^)o
when i want to do a picture i draw it on paper first and then i scan it. after scanning i trace the lines with pen or brush tool. and if i draw the picture detailed it takes lots of time and it makes me despair. that's why there are lots of unfinished pictures on my computer. (โ—๏ธฟโ—)

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

SirTiefling In reply to gochawan [2011-08-13 13:54:40 +0000 UTC]

My technique? I just move the mouse around and press the button. The illustration forms out of chaos in time. Basically, you only need to learn how to be patient.
