So you're ridiculing one of your family members for being insane? Laughing and making jokes just doesn't seem like the right thing to do, certainly not advocating the hereditary tendencies of insanity as a good thing and, gloating?... about how much insanity you have running in your family. i guess i wasn't really offended, that might have not been the right word. i just found it insensitive since I've had bad personal experiences with The "Insanity" that runs in my family and don't find comfort in it as you do that i might live for 80 years but lose my mind before i can reach that age. but anyways, i shouldn't have said anything in the first place and i'm sorry for that.
