I commend you for giving drawing a go. You have created an artwork that is quite similar to the original drawing, which is okay.
The use of strong, bold lines do give a sense of form to areas such as; the eyelid, eyelashes and contours in the iris. However, what is lacking in this drawing is the right proportions being implied. Better concentration and understanding of how the eye represents itself should be a must. Not all lines need to be dark, a gradual line mixed with dark and light can give areas a more realistic approach.
When drawing, determine where the light source is coming from. Knowing where light is hitting you can differentiate tones more easily. Overall, a good drawing. Keep up the skills and motivation!
