... It's long since that horrible experiment...... , now the time has passed, the wind has diminished... the dust has settled, the cries became silent... One by one, silence over silence over silence
... All covered in silence......
I keep looking on the old photographs.... Barely able to recognise anything from what is left... Most of the trees are gone, and all the remaining ones are dead and stiff in their black bone-dry skin
... Sometimes with their branches screeching and cracking in the wind.. All you could possibly hear interrupting the heavy blancketing silence
The house still remains, as old-looking now as it always has... Its door is only forever locked now, the trees no longer making any bit of shade with their bare branches... But there is no Sun there either, to shelter from... Only cold solitude... And a window forever looking towards the past...

We don't have snow where I live, and I love to look at photographs showing snow.
We were in Europe 2 years ago and my wife, who was 67 at the time, saw and touched snow for the first time in her life.

We do have snow in the Eastern parts of Australia, and have long said that we should go over there. Unfortunately getting up to the snow fields is terribly expensive, so we have not made it yet.
