Description Star Wars: Dubious Encounters - A Jaeriel Story.
Written by Vizu  drawn by MidoriNoHonoo

The mission seemed simple enough, break into an ISB Branch and steal a data-tape, the difficult part is the get-away, there's an entire garrison of Stormtroopers between Jaeriel and her extraction, complicated further by a series of Dubious Encounters with an all-too-friendly stranger, is this interloper simply an enthusiastic local, or an Imperial Spy, and will Jaeriel be able to reach her extraction in time...?

Several hours earlier, aboard the YT-2400 'Daydream', Jaeriel questions why they left Goldsaber's carrier in such a hurry, and Quinn briefs her on an urgent mission...

Flashback time, for flashbacks the panel boarders will have coloured outlines, and just like with speech-bubbles the flashbacks are colour-coded so you can tell who's flashback it is, for example if they were Green they would be Quinn's, Purple would be Orchid's, and in this case they are Blue, hence this is Jaeriel's flashback.

Anyway as ever, I hope ya'll enjoy, and feedback is always appreciated! This work is also a collaborative effort between myself and Vizu , as such if you enjoy this story please share your praise with her!

I'm starting to like Jae more and more, great for my first time meeting the character.

*chuckle* she isn't complaining she says eheh.

Sounds like that is exactly what she's doing!

Also how often do you think Orchid and Jaeriel play chess? For that matter, who do you think wins the most?

Heheheh, Quinn was right, "not yet" indeed. XD

Heheheh, that's anyone's guess, I imagine for a while Jae tends to be the winner, at least until Orchid learns to better control her emotions. Or wait, is this a trick question, does chess exist in Star Wars?

djark is the equivalent to chess and it's what they were playing in a new hope.

I don't know if chess as we play it exists but there are games that are very similar that do exist.

Heheh, fair enough.

Young/child Orchid probably wouldn't get the nuances of strategies such as sacrificing pieces to draw out your opponent and planning several moves in advance, it'd mostly go over her head, where as teenage Orchid would probably over analyse and juggle too many complicated (her anxieties and insecurities playing into it) "what if" strategies and ultimately end up being undone by more simpler moves from her opponent, it probably isn't until she's in her late teens/early twenties that she finally finds the right balance. XD

-chuckle- Orchid trying to divine chess strategy, now that's an adorable image.

Okay. Second Question. Did you use color pencil?

Nope, I actually use markers for colouring, "Windsor & Newton Promarkers", which used to be branded "Letraset Promarkers".

Heheheh, all it really takes is practice, helps to be stubborn too. XD

No worries, glad to help. ^_^
