FUL VIEW pretty pleasehere's one ultra mega wide shot. just to update my gallery and say that this project is still alive : ))
i added some particle grass..i like it, the render time didnt drop that much so i decided to keep it. its done with particle flow. i love the new instruction that lets you color the particle according to emitter color. i guess other apps had that feature 10 years ago
first i tried doing the grass with hair/fur and it crashed max all the time. it sucks balls.
btw im aware of things looking too big or too small compared to other things..its very visible when you look at the size of windows..im working on it
the bald spot between the town and the lighthouse will have something something there...

xeon 8 cores..i think RAM was crucial here..12 gigs..and max consumed 9 in render time
this resolution really pushed pc to its limits, i had to terminate max in task manager when the render was done

No wonder my 4 year old computer has such a hard time doing 3D renders

This is such an impressive rendering. It really does look just like a scene modelled with miniatures, like the kind you get for model railways. Nice to see you've also used PF, a powerful part of 3DS that would eliminate the need for so many plugins if more artists learned how to use it.
