Another fanart from the same universe as last drawing of Claire. From the Dragonwall series. This time I drew Talon the Black dragon king.

I drew the sketch a few months back and outlined it then... and then like I normally do I don't get very much further. Since I needed to da a lot of specific things lately, I suddenly got the inspiration to color it... ofc.

Anyway, this was the first time I made semi realistic scars - that was a challenge alright ^^! The jewels too... tutorials, tutorials, tutorials and looking on a lot of different ref...

As always the background was just a pain in the butt. It took at least two hours - and only because I couldn't figure out what to make, tried a lot of different things and ended up doing this and still had trouble. Because he looked very much like he was glued onto the background and not a part of the surrounding. That sucked. At that point I was pretty done and now that I have looked it over, I have just decided it was fine. The author of the series was/is happy - which is the most important thing, so I will stick my perfectionism down a hole for this one
