Description

I'm a part of a Strahd campaign some friends of mine are running. This is my back-alley doctor gremlin, Blaire.

Name: Blaire Darkmore

Race: Drow

Age: 250

Class: Monk (Way of Mercy)

Backstory:

Blaire was born into a family of clerics, but her fascination with the darker, grittier aspects of medicine emerged early on. While her parents sought solace in the light of divine guidance, Blaire found herself drawn to the shadows, intrigued by the mysteries of disease and decay. As she grew older, she sought apprenticeship under various doctors, mastering the art of concocting potent remedies from the most obscure ingredients.

However, her methods often clashed with the teachings of traditional healers. Blaire's disregard for traditional practices and her willingness to dabble in forbidden knowledge earned her the ire of the religious authorities. She developed animosity towards the divine stemming  from her belief that true power lies in the hands of mortals, not in the whims of distant deities. She ventures away from home to expand her knowledge and skill, offering her services to anyone for the right payment. Her travels come to a halt when she becomes stuck in Barovia as the dark clouds of Strahd's curse loomed over the land and the denizens of the city became desperate for any sort of aid.

Blaire saw this opportunity to expand her influence. She became a defender and healer of the city, navigating its treacherous alleys and treating its downtrodden denizens. In this grim environment, she thrived, her chaotic energy matching the unpredictable nature of the streets she traversed. Her disdain for the divine only deepened as she witnessed the suffering inflicted upon the city by forces beyond mortal comprehension.
