Interesting. I like the textures. I would have either cropped the hair out of the upper right-hand corner or covered it. Its about the only thing that distracts from the feel I can see. Nicely done.

Love the composition here...and the fact that no eye is staring directly at me. Nice expression on the face, great contrast between the paint and the black space at the bottom. Just great!

You sure have a nack for B&W (or color for that matter) studio style shots...something I could never do worth a shit. great job here

you've captured the textures here very well. I really like the soft feel this has. even through the mask , one can still see the emotion hidden behind the paint.
I love your new pieces. great work. keep 'em up = ]

It's certainly less confrontational than the first - and probably a better shot for it. In addition to the epic lighting, there's also some amazing detail in there as well.
Another excellent bit of work.

Yeah... i think this one is stronger for some reason.. maybe its just people relate with somber and nostagia more. I do miss the eye, but I feel this one is just stronger. Have one in this pose with eyes slightly open?

I totally agree with you ... this one is much more subtle, and its emotion creeps up on you, rather than punches you in the face (a la the first one). I do like this much better ... it's much more reflective, introspective, and mellow (I don't know if that's the word I'm looking for, but you get me). Again, the contrast is impeccable here ... excellent execution. Envy!

Woa nelly.
This was even better. Sepia can do wonders
(if you don't overuse it like I used to do)
Think I'm gonna fav this.
Reminds me of the work by Misha Gordin. At
least the faces.

Yes..I definitely like this one much better, it's more subtle and less straight in yer face. Everything is just more toned down and that suits the subject of the photo much more..
What exactly is a overlay layer though and what does it do to an image? Yeah, I know practically nothing about Photoshop, heh.

wow.. amazing... i love the composition and the angle... and really loved that i can see the texture of the paint on the face.... reminds me of sad clowns... not that clowns that have sad face paint, but that clowns are sad, even if their face smiles.... good job...
