So, some of you might remember the previous (we'll call it an "opinion image" for now) I uploaded about five days ago that talks about my disagreement with J's Reviews. Well, not long after the upload (I think it was about two or three days after), I noticed something about Sonic veterans in general. But first, we need to discuss what a Sonic veteran is.

To start off, we need to talk about the details of who or what a Sonic veteran is (this is actually my interpretation of a Sonic veteran, so there's a chance I could be wrong about a couple of things). In order to be a Sonic veteran, you must be born no later than 2000, you must have at least some experience with the Sonic games sometime before the release of Sonic 2006 (it can even be as little as a year's experience before 2006's release), and you must be familiar with the classics and the modern games (even if it is as recent as 2022). Choctopus, Reploid REVO, Sasso Studios, Chaomix, and J's Reviews all seem to fit this criteria and one thing I have noticed about these specific Sonic veterans is that they insist that they like Sonic, yet they spend so much of their time criticizing the series.

While it is true that there have been ups and downs in the Sonic franchise (even though EVERY franchise has those moments regardless), these people seem more focused on the downs and less on the ups. If that doesn't make any sense to you, then you might be able to see where I'm getting at. They all insist that they are "fans," yet they waste their time complaining (Sasso Studios, Chaomix, Choctopus, and J's Reviews especially), and they just can't stop! In fact, out of all of the YouTubers who annoy me the most, Sasso Studios is on the top three. The reason? It's because he made a very borderline disrespectful comment about Sonic Frontiers when it was announced. He called it "Sonic Front-Tears." So much for being part of a "fun, positive, and loving community that strives to make people's lives better" (yes, that was actually part of Sasso Studios' "About" section in his channel. Click on the link below, and you'll see it.) It's clear to me you have done the exact opposite for me, Sasso.

One thing I'm actually ashamed to tell you that I've noticed a couple of complaints from Reploid REVO, who is a YouTuber I usually tend to agree with almost 100% of the time. I was actually on one of his live streams and (please correct me if I'm wrong as I am only trying to tell you what I remember hearing. I'm trying everything I can to avoid misinformation) he seems very hesitant on playing Sonic Frontiers, yet it personally feels like he is almost ignoring the fact that it is doing so well, even with some of the flaws here and there. He also said that he does not like the hyperrealistic feel that Sonic Frontiers has and that he prefers a more cartoony feel. I don't mean any disrespect when I say this, but I'd rather go for the realistic look to the game instead of a cartoony look. I personally believe that the cartoonish looks have been overused quite a lot in the series. Besides, haven't we seen so much of the cartoony looks in Sonic Adventure, Sonic Advance, Sonic Mania, and Sonic Origins? I think it's time we take a break from the cartoon look for a while.

I've already seen countless videos from Choctopus and Chaomix where they complain about something that I don't even know where to begin, but I'm more worried about Chaomix. Heck, I even question if Chaomix is even a real Sonic fan, considering that he left Sonic at one point. I didn't leave the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series when the 2020 remake of the first two games was released, so how can someone go on to insist that they are a Sonic fan, only to leave the series over a game that didn't do good? I find it very suspicious.

In conclusion, I think almost nine out of ten Sonic veterans complain WAY TOO MUCH. Once again, this is only my opinion and I do not intend to harm or malign anybody mentioned. Please be respectful to each other in the comments, regardless of who's side you're on.

(Also, the only things I own are the background and the picture of myself. Everything else belongs to their original owners.)
