Description So here's an interesting story. A long time ago back in late high school, I was really starting to get into a lot of rock, especially in the grunge, post-grunge, alternative, emo, and punk rock categories. Then one day, when I was searching for songs on the iTunes Store, I came across an album that was released very recently at that time called "Post-Grunge Denial" by a band called Nelmo. I immediately fell in love with that album, especially since it had the grunge feel that I really liked. Heck, some of their songs seem to be heavily inspired by guys like Nirvana, one of which is called "See How I Move," which is one of my favorites. But there's also some slower songs in the album too, and the ones that stand out to me the most are "Just A Moment" and "Mary."

I waited to see if these guys were going to have another album, and sure enough, they released another one in 2022 called "Midnight Hour." I was a little sad that it didn't have that many songs. In fact, it feels more like an EP if anything. Not only that, but it wasn't as grungy as their first album, but I think it still had a little bit of grunge in it. I should mention that one of the slower songs called "Whereabouts" actually had a piano in it, which is very interesting. The only rock band I could think of that would do something like that would be Under the Influence of Giants. However, not only did they break up years ago, but their genre was very different from Nelmo. They were more of a pop rock alternative while Nelmo has more of a grunge alternative feel, similar to that of early Home Town Hero before 2004.

Despite how disappointed I was with Midnight Hour, it wasn't a terrible album. In fact, I like it regardless of its flaws. And so, I waited again to see if Nelmo would release another album and just as I thought, they released another one in January of 2023. This one was called "System of Compartments" and it had eight songs while the previous had seven. Not only that, but this one was also a little better than the previous album. Some of the songs are little bit more explicit than the songs from the last two albums, but the only one that stood out to me was called "Retro Holy Sh__" (yes, that's what it's called, I'm not making this up). My personal favorite track in that album, however, is the final song known as "Living In Fear." Funny enough, the first track of that album is called "In Denial." Could this be a callback to their first album? Maybe, but we're not sure yet.

So, who are these guys? How many people are in this band? Will these guys make any more albums? Well, I'm gonna make some guesses here, so do not take what I'm about to say as fact. It sounds like there might be three or four band members: the singer, the guitarist (it's likely the singer could actually be the guitarist, which is why I guessed three earlier), the bassist, and the drummer. But the most important question is will these guys make another album? Chances are, yes. It's very possible that they might be working on one right now as we speak. They've released each album at least one or two years after the previous, so it might be possible the next one could be coming next year in 2024. However, this is just an educational guess. We can't really say for sure. Honestly, I think these guys have a bright future. They're really talented and I can see them gaining more popularity as time goes on. These guys are also one of the reasons why I've been making my own music, so I have to thank them for that.
