I finally got my "without being too close of houses" lightning photography !
I was at the edge of the forest, following the incoming storm. Very wet night, but nice moments !
This photo has been taken as always, near Grenoble, France. This mountain is called "Moucherotte".

I've made more than 300 shots this night, but from many different spots as the storm was moving pretty fast. Only a few from this one, so I think I got very lucky !

luck matters most! i have tried thousand times to click lightning but everytime i click after the lightning goes badaaam and i hav veeery little patience... 300 shots! wow thats some dedication!! i would have been fuming with frustration by then :\
