Very nice! I think the characters need to have more hard shadows and highlights, to reflect the magic from your mage and to compliment the darkeness of the scene. Also add some shadows on the ground, or darken them up. Everything seems a bit blurry...I bet inking in only prevelent parts with help with that.

Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps I'll go back into it sometime later and fix the things I don't like. And artist's work is never done, right?

I like the layout and colortone but feel there is to much on scene on the left, creating a wierd angle for the viewer.. However you done and excellent job setting the mood and flow of the picture.

Thanks for the critique. I keep experimenting with off-center compositions but it's difficult to get the balance right sometimes. It's something to continue working on, and hopefully I can improve.

anytime, I know where your coming from, The colors go well togather like I mentioned and your characters stand out against the background really well, when I viewed it my eyes almost immediately went left, also it made me uncomfortable to see part of the glowing staff gone on the right, like part of the image was missing and that might have pushed me leftward too. The image despite pulling too far left, has a way of pulling you upward in a right bending curve which I like, because it creates this interesting illusion of confronting the 3 characters, as if you were a goblin running into them and about to battle. Id be interested in seeing similar work if you have it available. Is this for a game?

The painting is part of an effort to improve my portfolio, so it's not for a game or anything (though if any game publishers are looking for an artist...). The characters are based on half-fiends from Dungeons & Dragons though.

You have a pretty neat style so far! I like the feel of it. I am considering adding a few artists to my game projects, you would definitely be a top pick. Of course with my project its all freelance and volunteer just to build up a game design portfolio to get my foot in the business, since I dont expect to make any revenue of my first 15 games. However id welcome anyone with strong art talents, who the reward of saying they made a game is the greatest. Id love to get paid to make games but making a free game gets the word out and Most companies want to see published work.
