Description Bhaldih the lava lamp demon (© to me). Scales...I need to stop drawing characters with scales....they take me forever, and I complain to myself for hours when I'm done....bleh.....

Awesome job with the coloring, you have a nice hand for colored pencil and pen work. I love the idea of a lava lamp demon! I find that orange is an interesting color to use for a mer-creature and I think that it works perfectly for Bhaldih.

This is gorgeous! Mer-creatures are the coolest and he lives in a lava lamp O_O that's so cool! The fins and scales are totally magnificent! The time and effort reaped amazing results. Whee orange! *dances*

Actually, I used prismacolor colored pencils and micron sakura pens for most of it. The only computer stuff I did was the orangish fog/glow/shadow/whatever-you-want-it-to-be in the back and the text (done in Canon Photo Studio 5, if you really want to know....)

I love it. I have a softspot for mer-creatures, despite my phobia of sea life. I've always thought that mer-people should have insanely long tails, though. I guess it is just my personal thing, though. What programs did you use to color this? It's beautifully done.
