My favorite motto and quote of all time is by William Blake: “The busy bee has no time for sorrow.”

I think there is no other line that can represent my life and myself better. I've definitely been a busy bee ever since I started art.

I've been drawing since I was in high school, which was the saddest moment of my life, skipping meals every day and barely sleeping 4 hours to catch up with art n school work. By the time I came to America, studying another language was a difficult and lonely journey. Being a foreign student, I couldn't make friends to hang out with. I often got made fun of my bad English, and the school was not a fun place for me. But the first time I felt I was recognized was when I was drawing in art class. Even I had bad pronunciation, I didn't have to speak when I was drawing, and I felt like people understood me without me saying a word. I was fascinated by the power of art since then.
I tried to do twice more than other students, since I started late. Didn't even have time to be sad.

Now it's been almost 10 years... I think I've came far enough to be an artist that can paint the world with my colors, and my English isn't too bad now ;w; (..i guess?)

It's been busy-bee years, but I am proud of the steps I've achieved so far. I am going to be a busier, more hardworking bee this year!
