Description
There have been tales of a legendary warrior in the lands to the east who is believed to be the legendary Aesir god of thunder: Thor.

While the others were attending business with the forces of darkness in the northern lands, Bulkus and I traveled east to recruit this legendary warrior.

I will admit the travel was not an easy one. As we drew closer to our destination, the storms grew heavily and became more frequent.

We stopped at a local pub for drink and food. As we stepped foot inside the pub, the place was hopping with locals as if they were celebrating a great feast.

We found use of a table in the corner where the noise wasn’t as loud as when we arrived. A tall maiden with features that rivaled Aphrodite brought us our food and drink.

Before she left, I inquired her as to where I would find the legendary warrior. Suddenly, the whole pub went dead silent and stared at us suspiciously.

Neither of us dare to move to unsettle the crowd. A loud thud echoed through the pub with heavy footsteps following soon after.

Out of the crowd, a tall muscular man slowly yet intimidatingly came to our table with a large axe in hand. He stopped at our table and rested his weapon on our table with a thunderous thud.

“So you mortals are looking for me?” The large man asked with a deep voice. “Would you happen to be Thor Odinson?” I asked hesitantly. “Yes, I am Thor, son of Odin. Slayer of giants and the strongest warrior in these lands.” He replied. “Who are you that seeketh me?”

I tried to remain calm but could not with the large man towering over us. “We hope to recruit your skills in a battle with the dark forces in the north. My companions and I are looking for quest, would give us aid?” I implored

Thor scoffed my offer with haughty laugh. “What would I benefit from your battle when I can just stay here and fight my own battles.” He laughed. “Begone from these lands lest you incur upon yourselves the wrath of Thor.”

“Tough words from a puny god” Bulkus interjected. The whole pub shockingly stared in our general direction as not a single person uttered a sound.

Thor turned to Bulkus with a furious look upon his face. “What was that you said beast?” Thor asked angrily. Bulkus placed his food down and stood up with his eyes locked in on Thor’s.

The two giants stood almost face to face with Bulkus slightly towering over Thor. “I said, tough words for such a puny god” Bulkus pridefully responded.

“You dare insult me, beast?” Thor asked angrily. “I have faced many a foe bigger that you.” Bulkus chuckled at Thor’s comment. “Please, I’ve fought with monsters as large as mountains. And you don’t even go up to my chin” Bulkus arrogantly said.

“Then perhaps we’ll settle this matter in a fight to see who the strongest is, what say you beast?” Thor declared with a loud thunderous voice.

“Pick a time and a place, puny god” Bulkus loudly replied. Thor taking his axe points it towards the door to the outside. “In front of the pub, right now” Thor said. The two hulking warriors made their way towards the entrance and exited the pub. The large crowd and myself followed to find spots for a giant spectacle of this magnitude.

When we made our way outside, dark storm clouds gather in the sky. their anger brewing with the sound of thunder.

Bulkus and Thor in the middle of the open field staring down at each other with such intensity. Not even the gentle raindrops quelled their grimace.

“What say you beast? I will give you one chance to leave with your honor in tact” said Thor arrogantly. “The only way you’ll leave is in a corpse cart” replied Bulkus.

Thor grew a cocky smile. “Then by all means, give me your best shot” Thor laughed.

Bulkus swings his fist at thor but Thor stopped the attack with ease and punches Bulkus with tremendous force, sending him flying in the air deep into the forest.

The impact made the very earth shake beneath our feet as though a dragon was waking from a long nap.

Thor started to levitate off the ground and flew after Bulkus deep into the forest.

Bulkus rises from the ground like the dead coming from the grave as thor arrives at the scene.

“You should give up whilest you still draw breath” said Thor triumphantly. Bulkus huffed and puffed while catching his breath. “Please that was a love tap” Bulkus said with a grin.

Bulkus then grabs a large fallen tree and swiftly strikes Thor with it like a bat. The impact sends Thor deep into the storm clouds with Bulkus pursuing his foe.

Thor slams into a giant Boulder ten times his size. Bulkus arrives shortly after and sees the massive size of the crack. Thor obliterates the Boulder as he freed himself.

“I must admit, it has been a very long time since anyone had such strength to send me flying. But now our quarrel must come to an end, warrior” said Thor boldly.

He extended his right hand out and upon command his axe floated right to his hand and he grasped it tightly.

Bulkus grabbed his weapon readying himself for anything coming his way. Thor points his axe towards the sky; suddenly, a flash of lightning came forth from the heavens and coated the axe in its erratic energy.

“Prepare yourself warrior for the full might of Asgard’s champion!” roared Thor. Bulkus replied with a monstrous roar as he coats his magical energy around his body.

The two warriors charged at each other in full force. The explosive impact of Bulkus’ sword clashing with Thor’s axe could be here from all over the realm maybe even beyond.

Moments have passed as the pub customers and myself could only watch what has transpired in the distance as flashes of lightning and loud roars ringed through the land.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning crashed down near where the pub customers and I were staying. All of us looked in shock as we saw both Bulkus and Thor lying on the ground exhausted and bruised.

The two warriors started to laugh as they picked themselves up from the ground. They were laughing as though they had the time of their lives.

Thor turns to Bulkus with a hearty smile. “By Orin’s beard! I haven’t had a fight like that since my battle with the fire giant Surtr. May I ask you name warrior?” asked Thor. “The name is Bulkus” he replied.

“Answer me this, warrior Bulkus, are there other warriors such as yourself?” Thor inquired. “There are other warriors but I’m the strongest of the bunch.” Bulkus answered.

“Very well then.” Thor then turned his sight to me. I stood at the ready with weapon in my grasp. “Indeed good sir, I shall take you up on your offer under the condition that Bulkus and I was have our rematch until one of us yields to the other!” Thor proudly proclaimed.

Even while I still was shaken after witnessing an individual as strong as Bulkus, he and I agreed to Thor’s terms and the three of us made our way back to our guild.

Though I shudder to think what may become of our repair bill if the two should clash again.
