Deciding to set sail by himself, may be the dumbest decision the pirate has made, even more so venturing into No Man's Cove. Arming himself with just a wooden spear, puncturing one tentacle seemed to be the most he would worry about, unbeknownst to him, his flimsy weapon would do him no good once the blob beast ensnared his bare skin with it's tentacles.

There's a reason why it says "No Man" in the name, because every man arrogant enough to venture into this territory is quickly gulped up with nothing but empty boats littering the water.
