He was always in his little world where it was just him and his mother. His mother, Delilah loved Damian more than anything. It was at a very young age when Damian acquired a soft spot for music. Delilah often spent her nights humming rhymes and small sonnets into her son's large ears before he went to sleep. It was a way to comfort the young kit, despite his rough situations while growing up. Rough situations being... a rogue.

"Momma?" The inquisitive kit squeaked.

"Yes, Demi?" Delilah replied good-naturedly, giving Damian a slight nudge of affection.

"Will you tell me another song... about the glowing lights?" He asked, lips curving into a grin which showed mostly nubs, but two incisors which were growing quicker than usual.

Delilah just smiled passionately down at her son and ran a tongue across his small headtuft, "Well I suppose I could sing you another little song... You're truly passionate about those lights, aren't you?"

" I can still hear her cries... Haunting my dreams. Maybe that's partially why I rarely sleep. I'm afraid to re-live that nightmare. "

In Damian's adolescent years, he became extremely curious about the world around him. He would often leave he and his mother's nest during the night hours and exploring the neighborhoods. It was then did Damian find himself cornered by the few gang members of the area. Fragile and young, Damian stood no chance against the burly gang members. On an off chance he could get away, Damian attempted to scale a tall fence to get away from the aggressive gang members. The teen almost reached the top, but instead he slipped and fell roughly onto the cement. From awhile away, Delilah's intent ears heard the cry of her son. Knowing he was in trouble, she immediately dashed over to the source of the cry. When she saw Damian cornered, she did everything she could to protect her son. Although the efforts were not enough, she managed to save Damian's life. But her own was not spared.

Damian spent the next two years travelling, trying to rid himself of the loneliness which constantly ebbed away at his heart. He had no dreams. No goals. No purpose. Although one night, when Damian noticed bright lights way off in the distance, he briefly remembered the songs which his mother used to sing to him. Ones which told of bright lights, loud music, and entertainment. Could this me what she meant? The City of Lights?

As he aged, Damian transformed himself into a high ranking member of the Casino. Now twenty two years old, Damian still has echoes of his past every now and then, and will often murmur the songs which his mother sung to him long ago to calm himself down when he is feeling anxious or depressed.

Go fish? What was he thinking? He should have gone with something more interesting such as 'Blackjack' or 'Poker', but it was too late now. Why... maybe he'd make up his own game. When Destiny pulled herself out of the water, Damian waded up to the side of the pool and cross crossed his arms on the cement, leaving the rest of his body hanging in the water. "A usual game of go fish is played with..." He paused for a brief moment to refresh his memory before continuing, "52 cards." He glanced up at Destiny with a flirtatious raise of an eyebrow while drawing two lines on the concrete with his wet paw before continuing, "But this game will be played with only two."

The two lines quickly faded away, and he dipped his paw in the water once again before drawing a sloppy "Q" and "J" After drawing the letters, he looked up at Destiny. "Those cards being the Queen of Hearts, and the Joker." He smirked at the inquisitive look he was receiving before carrying on the conversation further.

"The Joker will represent a wild soul, full of mystery and adventure. The card that you never really know what it will do next." Damian knew somewhere in the back of his head that he was making absolutely no sense. Though he hoped that the also-buzzed Destiny didn't notice too much. Alcohol late at night definitely didn't have the right effects to Damian's mind. "And the queen of hearts? Well, I'm sure both you and I know what that card represents." He smirked, not even trying to hide the straggly tooth which sometimes liked to appear there whenever he smiled.

"It is a card of beauty... Magnetism, affection, and passion. Now maybe if those two cards found a way to make a match in some way..." He was pulling himself up to sit next to Destiny now, looking deeply into her blue eyes, "Maybe the outlawed Joker could find a way to be more like the Queen. Maybe he could learn from her."
