Description Every year, in the most spooky of all months, the “Demon Keeper of Lignum Forest”™, Luci, indulged himself in all manner of lovely daydreaming thoughts about the different travelers he might encounter in his day to day work, shielding the world from the danger of Lignum – and in particular, how they would react to his cruelest tickle weapon: his fluffy tail. For good reason, he hesitates to actually use it most of the time, and even Bupler, his loyal mushy servant, could count the few individuals who had ever felt the pointy end of his demonic tail upon their exposed skin with one hand. On the contrary, most times, it proved enough to tease about the sheer possibility of using it, and even the strongest resistance melted away once he transformed and demonstrated what he was capable of. This year, he had set his eyes on a somewhat ill-fated and therefore promising elf who he rescued from the tendrils of a playful Blue Lignum.

Just like every other day Luci, had been on patrol, strolling around the forest to check if someone was in need of help or guidance. Suddenly, his heightened demon senses picked up a strange snickering noise coming from somewhere far away. Out of curiosity, he followed the noise, racking his brain as to what animal could possibly make such a silly sound. When he was already considerably closer to the source of the sound, however, he could clearly notice that sometimes the snickering was interrupted by short phrases, the kind he personally loved to hear on a daily basis: “HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHELPPPP!” “NOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!” “MEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHERCYYYY!” Those were only a few of the ways in which this foreign individual tried to catch the attention of any passersby. For a moment, Luci paused, staying still and enjoying the vivid voice of the screamer. Then he reminded himself of his duty, and rushed as fast as possible to the place where he expected to find the troubled individual. As far as he could tell, he would find the victim just in time.

The poor elf’s feet, which where easily recognisable from afar thanks to their unique structure and size, all but invited Luci to come nearer and check for themselves whether they were truly humanoid in shape. Much to his surprise, they were, though thanks to their sheer length, it looked like only the balls and toes were ever in contact with the ground while walking. Consequently, the deep arches and heels remained unprotected in the air at all times. Standing right in front of the Elf, or at least the twitching body that looked like one, it became apparent to the demon that these massive cuties spanned nearly half his body height and featured long, nimble toes with sharp nails, with a strong grip as well as surprisingly soft skin. Based on the elf's intense yet silly, cute reaction to the Lignum’s advances, which had only started to torment some vividly pink scars on those humongous soles, this individual's sensitivity was probably not even inferior to his own.

Lucky day indeed! The only “weapon” the victim had to defend itself against a sudden attack like this was literally a large wooden stick with a strong magical aura, which now lay uselessly on the ground, far from its owner's reach. Even though the gooey tickle monster hadn’t used its evil brushes yet (a cruel trick which Luci had not-so-fond memories of for brushing his oh-too-tender birthmarks for hours on end that one time), the elf had already lost any fight in him thanks to the present sensory overload and, at least for now, his mind had traveled to a happier place. The demon knew what he had to do, and so he began with the rescue action immediately.

It would take several days in the care of a trusted Teal Lignum before Alarion Pineblossom, as he introduced himself later, was able to accept an official invitation to tea to the Demon’s Mansion.

Luci could barely hide his excitement when he saw the slender elf finally standing on his doorstep. He was impressed that when they shook hands, Alarion’s fluffy brown tail, whose end was shaped like another hand, shook hands with Bupler as well, who was just as surprised as his “master” by this fact. After the elf could be persuaded to take off his strange sandals, which Luci had rescued from the Goo as well, the blind yet seeing Bupler provided tea and homemade cake which was soon garnished with a good talk. First and foremost, Luci expressed his deepest apologies for what had happened in the forest.

“Even though there are signs for safe routes all over the place, the Goo monsters constantly change places,” Luci said grimly. “It’s not at all easy to keep up with their positions, especially the Red ones.” The demon sported a sour expression, remembering one or two encounters that hadn’t worked out as expected, leaving him tickled to a near-ecstatic state which he could only bear in his demon-form for longer than a few minutes. Still, once in a while, he found it funny to throw others at a Red Lignum, even forgetting where they were sometimes.

Silently sipping his tea, the demon started to introduce himself properly now, and after a short while more, the elf no longer felt at odds with this place.

“So ehm, you're into tickling as well?” the demon asked suddenly after a while of chatting, as though he were asking if Alarion liked butterflies.

The elf looked bashfully down at what was left of his delicious cake, a faint blush covering his face.“Only the mild stuff. Can’t cope with more, most of the time.” As he said this, he pressed his feet a bit more against the cozy carpet, and his tail hand started to give his arches a calming massage.

“A pity. I had hoped for a short lick, you know?”

“W-well, I guess as long as you don’t hit my s-scars, that should be manageable.” He grabbed his tail and clung to it as he put one gigantic foot up on the table within reach of his host.

Without hesitation, Luci started to caress the tanned arch with his tongue; of course, he tried to be as gentle as possible and evaded the scars masterfully. Still, it tickled pretty badly, and the elf could not hold his laughter back whenever Luci reached up toward the toes. Once Luci stopped, Alarion’s face was red like a tomato and his body was shivering a bit.

“Wow, you’re delicious! But please - you don’t have to hold your laughter back here. See these?” Luci put one squishy stirruped foot up, showing to his guest some small black dots on the sole. “I know exactly how you feel. See these birthmarks? No touchy there, never!” To underline his statement, the demon shook his head wildy around, and the elf let go of his tail, feeling much better with the knowledge that his host was someone who knew how bad tickling could get.

“W-Want to switch, then?” the bard asked reluctantly.

“A second helping for you as well, ehh? Sure thing, but first, dessert!”

On cue, Burpler brought two heavy plates to the table, each covered with a small cloth. “Two servings of chili supreme for master and guest. Bon appetit.”

Alarions eyes sparkled as the cloths were lifted, and he could grasp that not less than five habanero peppers were part of this meal. “Ohh, thank you. How did you know?”

Luci grinned. “I will only tell if you take me on in an eating contest. Bet you lose!”

“Never, I’m in!”

Burpler, already equipped with a flag, raised the same in the air and shouted “Rules are simple. The contestant who eats up first and doesn’t cheat, wins!” They were ready for pain. “3, 2, 1 - EAT!”

The first few spoons full of chili supreme were pretty easy to gulp down; after all, the heat took a bit of time to set in, slowly building up to its devastating strength. However, after about two minutes of competing, they both had reached the point were only a third of the meal was still on the plate, and every spoonful more meant a few more tears as well. The small demon was a worthy opponent, but from now on only a true chilihead was able to enjoy the burning throat, the sizzling tongue, and the ever-increasing need for water. Alarion would have won in the end, they both knew that much, but just as always, something unexpected happened when the elf was around.

“GYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”

Oh, no. Alarion’s wicked tail had taken a stroll, and against his owner’s explicit will, the hand had started exploring the black stirrup socks Luci was wearing. Just like the elf’s scars, Luci’s birthmarks were off-the-scale sensitive, and the well aimed attack, sent him into immediate hysterics. And then it happened.

The air around the table cooled down by a few kelvins while Luci transformed. Burpler brought himself to safety, hiding behind a nearby bar counter. Two wings, one red and fluffy like his hair, the other one webbed and black like his horn, grew out of the demon's back. Luci’s clothes had vanished, and countless cloth ribbons started moving wildly in the air, wrapping itself around the left half of his demon body and his crotch area. His left eye changed color as well, the pinkish glowing iris now lustfully looking at the elven bard as if he was waiting for just such an opportunity. Last, but not least, a tail just as fluffy as Alarion’s own, but covered in blood red fur, appeared out of nowhere, its pointy metallic end waving in a threatening dance in the direction of the terrified elf, almost like a flying cobra.

The bard swallowed hard, the flavor of chili surpreme still burning in his throat. There was no question: this was the demon the people in the nearby village had spoken rumours about behind closed doors. The transformed demon put the plate in front of his mouth and gobbled the rest of the spicy meal down like it was nothing, before Alarion was able to do the same.

“M-master wins,” whispered a voice from behind the counter.

“C-Can we talk about this, L-Luci?” The elf started stammering nervously, fully aware that such a silly question had never helped anyone out.

“Sure, why not?”

“W-what?”

“Let’s talk about it!” The demon smiled, and not in a good way at all. “I’m going to let you laugh your heart out in a few seconds, and you won’t be able to handle it at all, right?

“T-True!”

“Good that we talked about it~”

In an instant, cloth ribbons wrapped themselves tightly around Alarion’s struggling upper body, fixing his troublesome tail in place as well. “I guess I will start here…”

Moments later, Alarion could feel Luci’s tail tip scribbling upon one of his damn scars. He screamed at the top of his lungs, but even as a trained bard, there are pitches too high to ever be reached, and instead he screamed in silence.

Luci laughed evilly at the grim spectacle. “Never tickle an eating demon, remember that, especially not on his birthmarks! Now then. You wanted a second helping. Let’s have fun while you’re still lasting!”

This is a color commission for JasonSMD , who was gracious enough to also provide the accompanying drabble. Here we have Jason's giant-footed elf boy, Alarion, in quite the predicament as Luci, the creation of the inimitable TwoMario, assumes his demonic tickler form for some fun at his captive's expense. The story itself is meant as a direct follow-up to the previous piece with Alarion ; though I wasn't aware of that association, it definitely fits!

A big thanks to both JasonSMD and TwoMario for the base artwork for this along with the ficlet to go with it! I had a lot of fun coloring this and I look forward to enjoying more of the amazing works that both of them will surely produce. Go check out and support these two when you get the chance!
